‘The Voice:’ Katrina Parker Recaps This Week’s Top 10 Performers

Posted: 21 May 2013 11:23 AM PDT

We're down to the last 10 contestants on The Voice. Mix yourself a delicious martini (you'll need it). Let's get fancy and chat about my favorite moments from this week's episode.

Fun and Flirty Wins the Night! "Next to Me" was the perfect direction for Sasha Allen to take this week. We've seen her do an amazing job on melodramatic songs, but this was the first time we've seen her tackle something upbeat, current and radio friendly and knock it out of the park. Everything about it was fun – the outfit, the staging, the flirty performance. This was a great example of someone stepping out of their comfort zone and making themselves right at home, and I imagine Shakira was pinching herself over her good luck last night.

Just Give Me a Reason. OK, but I don't need one reason to love Michelle Chamuel, as I have several. 1) She sang a duet as a solo but was so charismatic I didn't miss the guy with high water pants from Fun. 2) While she started out a little shaky on "Just Give Me a Reason" she eventually bumped it into high gear, once again charming the hell out of America by being utterly herself. 3) Olympic level squats.

When Unicorns Cry. Watching Judith Hill break into tears is like seeing unicorns cry – I'd much rather see them leave trails of glitter or paint rainbows than be sad. Her grief over losing Michael Jackson is clearly genuine, and I hate that anyone's cynicism about her backstory has shaken her. MJ is a crucial part of her history that she can't (and shouldn't) erase, and her tribute to him last night was powerful. Was it her best night on the show? No, but it was liberating to see her get up there and honor MJ on her own terms (like a boss). The fiercely delivered line "Ain't nobody's business but mine and my baby's" felt like an epic response to critics everywhere. Sing it, Judith.

Where's the Weird, CeeLo?? Seeing CeeLo in his segments with Shakira without a bird on his shoulder, cat on his lap or wig perched atop his head was like seeing a peacock without its feathers. Has he become more subdued during his time off from The Voice? Or is he just keeping a low profile until he re-enters the arena in Season 5, driving a gold chariot with a rapping panda bear?

Overly Ambitious Song Choices. I think Josiah Hawley is lovely to look at and can do a solid job on a specific type of song, but I'm concerned about some of the more ambitious assignments Usher's giving him. Muse? Coldplay? These are iconic male singers with incredible ranges. "Clocks" is especially challenging, requiring a strong, clear tone and an impressive falsetto to soar over those "Oohs" in the chorus. While Josiah gave it his all, it didn't hit the right marks and undermined a lot of the good work done last week. Usher – I love you. Now get it together with this pretty boy! The women of America demand it.

Age Appropriate. It was nice to see Danielle Bradbery doing an age appropriate song last night. Her vocals are always flawless, but "Heads Carolina, Tails California" was a much more fitting choice than last week's very grown-up song about addiction. Let's not forget she's 16, y'all!

More Productive Critique. I was thrilled to see the coaches giving more precise, constructive critiques this week (something I've asked for in previous blogs). Almost all of them had insightful commentary for the more middling performances, effectively articulating what everyone at home was feeling without being mean. That balance of substance with kindness? It's what helps keep The Voice head and shoulders above other competitions like Idol (both in karma and in ratings).

A Mighty Wind. Amber Carrington's performance of "Breakaway" was strong enough without 40 MPH winds coming at her. Was anyone else as distracted by that wind machine as I was? No? That's cool. I just have a fear of being forced to sing in a windstorm. That's my problem not yours.

Hymns in Primetime. Doing justice to the classic gospel song "How Great Thou Art," Holly Tucker opened last night's show in an unexpected way. I grew up in the Baptist Church and am very familiar with this tune, so it brought back sweet memories of choir solos, potlucks and quiet Sunday nights in a pew.

Mama Knows How to Rock. Sarah Simmons put her rock hat on for "Mama Knows Best," roaring through the song with more of her signature grit (and less of her signature vulnerability). It was saucy and surprising, inspiring Adam Levine to fan himself like a Southern belle. It also yielded us the disembodied voice of Blake Shelton saying "sexy" over and over again while the other coaches gave feedback. That is something to be celebrated.

What Does It All Mean? Was it me or did Maroon 5's performance feel a little like a Rorschach test come to life? I was too busy analyzing the blue paint splatters to enjoy the great performance. I'm fairly sure I saw a rhino outlined at some point. What does that say about my psychological state?? Wait! Don't tell me.

Tune in Monday at 8PM EST as I live-tweet the next episode of The Voice.  For more updates, follow me on Twitter: @katrinapmusic and visit my website, www.katrinaparker.com.

Paul Walker Talks Similarities to His ‘Fast & Furious’ Character: ‘The Parallels Are Crazy’

Posted: 21 May 2013 11:43 AM PDT

It’s been over a decade since a baby-faced Paul Walker first graced the big screen as undercover cop Brian O’Conner in The Fast and the Furious.

Now the sixth installment of the speed-addled franchise is set to crash into theaters this Friday. Since the original, Brian has transformed from a law-enforcement officer to a car-racing, criminal fugitive continually trying to evade arrest with the woman he loves, Mia Toretto (Jordana Brewster).

Though Walker’s movie-star life is a world away, he can readily relate to the character that’s come to define his acting career.

“For years I’ve been doing it, the parallels [between] Brian’s life and my life, it’s crazy,” he told Celebuzz‘s Cory Lopez. “I’m like what the hell? It’s personal stuff, ya know. But I look at it and it’s like, I substitute this for that, and that for that. But in terms of journey, it’s been pretty similar.”

And that journey includes parenthood, as Brian and Mia settle down as a family with their first child in the new film.

“A big part of the reason I think we all sort of connect with this and what’s going on in our relationship is because I do think we carry it over into our personal lives,” explained Walker, who has teenaged daughter Meadow with an ex-girlfriend. “I mean, who doesn’t want that? Whether you really possess it in real life or not, it’s irrelevant. Everybody wants that.”

“Everybody wants that sense of family or community,” he continued. “That’s why we got gangs. That’s why we got all this stuff. It’s like, if you don’t have it at home, you’re going to create it some place else.”

Stick with Celebuzz all week from coverage of Fast & Furious 6 before it comes out on May 24, including interviews with Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez and the whole gang naming their ultimate heist team match-up.

Keanu Reeves Isn’t Fat He’s Just Older And, Like, Woah

Keanu Reeves Suit Cannes Photo Call 2013 The Man Of Tai Chi

We would all like to be immortal and only die lithe and vibrant and only when we’re ready but life is short and cruel so deal because we all will become Fat Keanus one day.

Dude just shows up to the Cannes Film Festival to promote  his debut film as a director, the kung-fu valentine, A Man of Tai Chi, but gets promo for it thanks to how old and paunchy he looks this week.  (He’s 48, btw, probably about 215 lbs. fully-carbed, Utah. )

The lone bright spot to come of this is that, finally, our aging pretty male movie stars are getting the same respect as their female counterparts. Because in Hollywood, unless you’re Betty White, every day that passes brings you one step closer to rotting in a shallow grave dug for you by British tabloid editors. As civilians we should all be happy that our deaths will be much quieter, even if our corpses have double-chins.

‘RHOC Recap: Heather Debuts In ‘Cleveland’ and A Housewife Returns

Posted: 21 May 2013 09:56 AM PDT

We should've known Lauri Waring Peterson's return on Bravo's The Real Housewives of Orange County wouldn't be all sunshine and lollipops. On tonight's episode, Lauri's reappearance on the series marked trouble for Tamra Barney and Vicki Gunvalson's already fractured friendship. Last week, Tamra and Vicki's friendship hit the skids and viewers thought the two would never recover from their blowup in Malibu. Could these two work things out?

Note: Spoilers ahead if you haven’t watched Monday’s episode: “Hot In Orange County”

Lauri met up with Tamra to help the bride-to-be pick out wedding rings, when their conversation turned to everyone's favorite wine-drinking insurance agent, Vicki. Lauri revealed to Tamra she knew the petit blonde and Vicki fell out, and dished how her marriage nearly suffered because of Vicki.

Really girl, I thought that was your son and your hubby's ex-wife drama? Lauri never spilled the tea on how Vicki almost torpedoed her marriage, but warned Tamra that Vicki enjoys when people are unhappy just like she. Uh, Lauri, I remember when you were on the show, Vicki seemed really happy your mega rich hubby George came along. You sure do like to re-write history.

Meanwhile, the ladies rallied together and supported Heather Dubrow's big debut on Hot in Cleveland. Heather's big day was nearly upstaged by Gretchen Rossi and her wannabe housewife beau Slade Smiley's late arrival. Apparently, the two were in San Diego on a romantic getaway, and Slade bought Gretchen a Rolls Royce! Not for nothing, but he didn't buy her the Rolls, he leased it. We all know who's making the payments, and it ain't Slade.

Later, new housewife Lydia McLaughlin opened a dialog of discussion up for Tamra and Vicki at dinner to work things out. Always the optimist, that Lydia! Tamra apologized for lashing out at her former bestie. Tamra confessed she just wanted her old friend Vicki back. The two agreed to start fresh (yet again), and work on their issues at a later time, under the disapproving eye of Gretchen.

Buzz Moments

OMG!: Lydia’s mom and her weed smoking imitations and discussion. Ma’am really?

Thank you, TV gods.: Gretchen and Slade being called out for constantly walking out of Heather’s acting. How rude were they?

Awk-ward: Vicki wearing a pig nose at dinner as a joke. You know people wanted to chime in but decided not to.

Hotness: Heather’s stint on Hot In Cleveland. She owned it!

Fab-u-lous: Alexis Bellino showing up to acting class in a Rolls Royce. What budding actor does that? An OC actor.

Can. Not. Wait.: To find out more about Vicki and Lauri’s animosity.

Good Luck Movin’ Up Cause Robert Pattinson’s Movin’ Out of Kristen Stewart’s House

Posted: 21 May 2013 09:32 AM PDT

You know what they say, fool me once, shame on you; throw me a stupid birthday party I didn’t want; shame on me. Robert Pattinson was photographed moving his things out of Kristen Stewart‘s Los Angeles home this weekend, after the two reportedly broke up again. The two allegedly started fighting after Pattinson skipped a 27th birthday party which Stewart held in his honor. That fight allegedly stirred up past tensions and now the vampiric home that Stephanie Meyer built is a broken one.

Us Weekly reports there is a chance the two could reconcile so don’t delete your hardrive full of Twilight fan-fiction just yet. But when it comes to terrible ways to treat your partner, skipping a party someone planned in your honor is pretty high up there, behind, you know, cheating. So from the outside looking in, it appears that both of these two are just selfish garbage people who either shouldn’t really be in a relationship at all, or deserve each other.

Anyhow, Pattinson is now reportedly holed up at his home merely blocks aways from Stewart’s in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles. So now you know why your teenage daughter was “too depressed for texting, even” at breakfast this morning.

‘Dancing With The Stars’ Finale Recap: Who Will Win The Mirror Ball Trophy?

Posted: 21 May 2013 09:22 AM PDT

As Dancing With The Stars nears the end of its sixteenth season, the final four couples are stepping up their game. The ABC show took time to honor the victims of Monday's devastating tornado in Oklahoma City before getting on with the final night of performances.

"We're a live show, and as such, occasionally we go to air in the shadow of tragic events. That happened April 15, when we went to air hours after the Boston bombing. And it's happened again today. While we're having a celebration here [in the ballroom], we want you to know our thoughts are with everyone who's been affected by the devastating tornado in Oklahoma City," said the emotional host, Tom Bergeron. "I would, however, ask you to applaud the amazing courage of the first responders on site."

After the moment of silence, the competition got started with a bang with each couple performing three separate dances. First, a routine selected by judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli. Next, a cha-cha relay for forty seconds each, and lastly, the ever-entertaining freestyle round.

The competition was fiercer than ever with the couples drawing more perfect scores than any other night this season. Here's how it all went down.

Despite battling a bloody eye injury from rehearsals, Val Chemrovskiy and Zendaya owned the night. All three of their spins earned perfect scores from the judges. First, their scorching samba impressed all four judges, prompting Bruno to declare, "You're just incredibly fierce, child!" Len agreed, calling their turn "eye-popping, show-stopping and jaw-dropping."

They also took the lead in the cha-cha relay, adding five points to their final score at the end of the night. Their freestyle routine was especially impressive and incorporated numerous dance styles from throughout the season. By the end of the electrifying number, Carrie Ann complimented Zendaya's consistency. "Way to bring it home," she said. "You're just divine, my dear."

Kellie Pickler and Derek Hough weren't far behind the flawless frontrunners of the evening. Judges chose the quickstep for their first performance and they nailed it, earning a perfect score. “I was palpitating, perspirating and I got so excited I was nearly flatulating!” exclaimed an extremely excitable Len. Bruno agreed it was "better than ever" and the pair seemed relieved to be back on top after a tough couple of weeks.

The pair came in second place in the cha-cha relay, nabbing four extra points for their total score. Their barefoot freestyle was simple yet particularly moving. Carrie Ann was touched to tears and said, "It was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen." Wow. Len agreed, telling the pair, "Good dancing engages the brain. Great dancing engages the heart.”

Aly Raisman and her pro partner, Mark Ballas, took on the samba in the first round. The gymnast was in her groove despite her partner's awkward outfit and drew praise from the panel. "You have the swagger like Jacoby and the lines of Kellie and the musicality of Zendaya," noted Carrie Ann. Their sexy samba earned then 28 points, with the only 10 coming from Bruno.

They fared a bit better in the cha-cha challenge, where they came in third to add three points to their score. For their freestyle, it was clear that the gold medal winner had a slight advantage over the rest of the bunch.  Her amazing acrobatics came in handy for the futuristic-themed number that included a pole perfectly positioned to show off her fantastic flipping abilities.

Judges were floored and Carrie Ann said, "That was one of the most amazing routines I’ve seen on Dancing With the Stars.” The routine earned Aly a perfect score and a new nickname from Len—”Alexandra The Great.”

The only disappointing delivery came from Jacoby Jones and Karina Smirnoff, who got off to a rocky start with their jive. Although it was extremely entertaining, the gimmicky routine was no match for the night's stiff competition. The footballer's enthusiasm took away from his technique leaving Len to admit, " You got excited at times and lost it." At judging time, they earned only 27 points from the panel. Ouch.

The couple finished last in the cha-cha relay, squeezing out only two bonus points for the pair who needed them most. The freestyle round failed to offer redemption despite help from a crew of tap dancers and typical twirling of Karina overhead. While the judges applauded his energy once again, the bells and whistles "outshined" him according to Carrie Ann. In the end, they landed on the bottom with 27 points.

With only one point between Zendaya and Kellie, and nine points separating the top scoring team from the bottom, it's still anyone's game. The top team will take home the coveted mirror ball trophy when the winner is announced on Tuesday night's finale.

Olivia Munn is definitely ready for bikini season.

The 32-year-old actress and fanboy favorite is showing off her fit figure in Esquire (there are squirt guns and daisy dukes involved) and she’s lookin’ good.

Ms. Munn revealed to the mag that she was a bit of an outcast as a kid by saying, “All the kids were cliqued up. I would end up eating with the old librarians.”

Olivia got her big break when she hosted the gamer-centric series, Attack of the Show! She made waves in Hollywood this past year by taking on roles in films like Magic Mike and The Babymakers. She also starred in The Newsroom and did a hilarious stint on New Girl.

‘Turnt’ to ‘Mrs. Carter’ Tour Videos: Welcome to Beyoncé Day

Posted: 21 May 2013 09:37 AM PDT

Ready for another helping of Beyoncé? Because here’s 10 more heaping spoonfuls.

First, “Grown Woman” hit the web, giving the famished-for-too-long BeyHive it’s first full taste of new music off her much-anticipated, still-untitled fifth studio album. Then The-Dream dropped his “Turnt,” his sex innuendo-infused collaboration with Queen B off his upcoming album IV Play, which will hit shelves stateside on May 28. Over a slow, simmering beat, Bey croons:

"People think I'm crazy, but I love you cause you're crazy too/ Red light special, undress me under the candlelight/ Turnt up in this business/ Watch me do all of them things you like”

You can get the rest of the lyrics at Directlyrics.

As if that didn’t fill our bellies of Bey, now she is giving fans a peak at her Mrs. Carter World Tour with nine — yes, nine— brand-new behind-the-scenes videos. Of course, the clips show very little of Beyoncé, instead superfluously showcasing screaming fans, her tour team, and the now semi-known Bey backup dancers, Les Twins (a.k.a. Laurent and Larry Bourgeois).

But between it all, we get a brief glimpse of Bey in the moments before she hit the stage opening night in Belgrade, Serbia, and even gushing about premiering “Grown Woman” to her concert crowd.

And that feast of Bey treats is why we are trademarking today Beyoncé Day. Now we’re all stuffed — and it almost makes us forget all the hoopla about her having another baby in the oven. Almost.

‘Arrested Development’: Where Was The Cast Before Season 4?

Posted: 21 May 2013 10:33 AM PDT

A lot has changed since Arrested Development went off the air in 2006.

No one — not even showrunner Mitchell Hurwitz — ever thought the Bluths would reunite, sending the actors out into the world to find new projects after a three-season run on FOX.

Well, the gang is back come May 26 — and they’re bigger than ever.

Jason Bateman and Will Arnett both found success at the box office — and not to mention, took their bromance offscreen — while Michael Cera turned into an awkward indie icon after hanging up his banana stand apron.

So, what has the cast been up to during this so-called hiatus?

Read on to find out.

Jason Bateman as Michael Bluth

Since Arrested Development went off the air, Bateman enjoyed success at the box office with roles in such films as Hancock, Juno, Horrible Bosses, Couple’s Retreat, The Switch and The Change-Up.

In 2010, Batman started a digital content production company called DumbDumb Productions with Arrested co-star Will Arnett.

He welcomed his second daughter, Maple, with wife Amanda Anka in 2012.

Michael Cera as George Michael Bluth

In 2007, Cera broke out with Superbad and Juno, which he starred in alongside fellow Arrested Development co-star, Jason Bateman. After gaining notoriety as the go-to guy for “awkward” roles, Cera tried to stay out of the spotlight by taking more indie roles in films such as The End of Love and Magic Magic.

Will Arnett as Gob Bluth

After wrapping Season 3, Arnett continued to receive work in both TV and movie. On the boob tube, the Canadian actor guest-starred on shows such as Parks and Recreation and 30 Rock before becoming a regular on The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret, Running Wilde and Up All Night — all of which have ended as series.

In film, Arnett starred in comedies like Hot Rod, Blades of Glory (alongside Arrested guest star and then-wife Amy Poehler) and Semi-Pro.

during the downtime, Arnett also welcomed to sons, Archibald and Abel, with Poehler. The couple announced their separation in September 2012.

Portia de Rossi as Lindsay Fünke

In 2008, de Rossi became engaged when talk show host Ellen DeGeneres proposed with a 3-carat pink diamond ring. The couple wed on August 16, 2008 (during the brief window wherein same-sex marriage was legal in California) at their home in front of 21 guests. She was granted a U.S. citizenship in 2011.

Aside from appearing in TV series such as Nip/Tuck and Better Off Ted, the Australian actress also wrote a book, titled Unbearable Lightness, that documented her struggles with anorexia nervosa and bulimia during her time on Ally McBeal.

David Cross as Tobias Fünke

Cross saw plenty of work after Arrested Development, lending his voice to animated films such as Kung Fu Panada and Megamind. The actor also appeared in live action movies like I’m Not There and Year One, which also starred his Arrested co-star Michael Cera.

In his personal life, Cross started dating actress Amber Tamblyn in 2009 before proposing in 2011. The couple married on October 6, 2012.

Alia Shawkat as Maeby Fünke

After Arrested Development‘s third season had ended, Shawkat appeared as supporting characters in indie movie such as Whip It and The Runaways.

In October 2009, it was announced that Shawkat, singer Har Mar Superstar and fellow Whip It co-star Ellen Page would produce and write a show for HBO called Stitch N’ Bitch — which has not been picked up to this day.

Acting and producing aside, Shawkat also dabbled in her musical side, singing guest vocals with her onscreen arch nemesis from Arrested, Mae Whitman, on Fake Problems’ album Real Ghosts Caught on Tape in 2010.

Shawkat dated fun. guitarist Jack Antonoff from 2007 to 2010.

Tony Hale as Buster Bluth

Since 2006, Hale appeared in many TV series as a guest star, including Community, United States of Tara and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Hale also had a recurring on Numb3rs and Chuck.

He is currently a series regular on HBO’s Veep.

Jessica Walter as Lucille Bluth

After Season 3, Walter found fame in playing yet another self-centered alcoholic matriarch in FX animated series, Archer. Her husband, Ron Leibman, lends the voice of her character Malory Archer’s husband.

Walter also dabbled in Broadway, starring in the revival of Anything Goes that officially opened in April 2011.

Jeffery Tambor as George Bluth

Since the season’s end in 2006, Tambor appeared in the highly-successful The Hangover trilogy and the sequel to 2004′s Hellboy, Hellboy II: The Golden Army. The Hollywood veteran also did voice work for animated features like Monsters vs. Aliens and Tangled.

In 2009, Tambor and his second wife, Kasia Ostlun, welcomed twin boys named Hugo and Eli.

CBS Postpones ‘Mike & Molly’ Season Finale in Wake of Oklahoma Tornado Tragedy

Posted: 21 May 2013 08:22 AM PDT

Mike & Molly fans will have to wait a little bit longer for the show’s season three finale. The episode, called “Windy City,” was supposed to air last night, but was postponed indefinitely by CBS after at least 24 people were killed by a tornado that ripped through the Oklahoma City suburb of Moore.

In the episode, Mike and Molly, played by Bill Gardell and Melissa McCarthy, are stuck at a Renaissance Faire as a tornado approaches Chicago. Out of respect to the victims, CBS decided to air a re-run of Mike & Molly last night in the episode’s place. “Due to tragic events this afternoon in Oklahoma, we are pre-empting tonight’s season finale of Mike & Molly, which has a related storyline,” CBS said in a statement.

Right now it is unclear when CBS will air the finale, saying only that it will wait until “an appropriate date.”

CBS recently picked up Mike & Molly for a fourth season, however it did not place the show on the schedule at its upfront presentation last week, saying the show would come back sometime during midseason.

Brad Pitt: ‘I’ve Never Known Life to Be Any Happier’

Posted: 21 May 2013 09:37 AM PDT

With fiancée Angelina Jolie and their beautiful brood of six, Brad Pitt is the archetypal family man.

But that wasn’t always the case. It was a long road to happily ever after for the Hollywood leading man.

“For a long time I thought I did too much damage — drug damage,” Pitt says in the June/July 2013 issue of Esquire, which hits newsstands May 31. “I was a bit of a drifter. A guy who felt he grew up in something of a vacuum and wanted to see things, wanted to be inspired. I followed that other thing. I spent years f***ing off. But then I got burnt out and felt that I was wasting my opportunity.”

It was that feeling pushed Pitt to finally make a “conscious change” about a decade ago, helping him to get him to the life he leads today. “It was an epiphany — a decision not to squander my opportunities,” he explains. “It was a feeling of, ‘Get up.’ Because otherwise, what’s the point?”

Now, Pitt is in the perfect place. His world revolves around Jolie, his partner of almost eight years, and their bustling home of six children: Maddox, 11, Pax, 9, Zahara, 8, Shiloh, 6, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 4.

“I have very few friends. I have a handful of close friends and I have my family and I haven't known life to be any happier,” he says. “I'm making things. I just haven't known life to be any happier.”

And Pitt wouldn’t have it any other way.

“I always thought that if I wanted to do a family, I wanted to do it big,” he recalls. “I wanted there to be chaos in the house…There’s constant chatter in our house, whether it’s giggling or screaming or crying or banging. I love it. I love it. I love it. I hate it when they’re gone. I hate it. Maybe it’s nice to be in a hotel room for a day — 'Oh, nice, I can finally read a paper.’ But then, by the next day, I miss that cacophony, all that life.”

Justin Bieber’s Pet Monkey is Now Officially Germany’s Pet Affe

Posted: 21 May 2013 07:09 AM PDT

Justin Bieber‘s pet monkey, Mally, is now Germany’s pet monkey, Mally.

The monkey’s ownership was officially transferred to the German state today, after Bieber failed to produce vaccination and import papers. Mally was originally seized March 28 after Bieber and Mally landed in Munich. The state quarantined the monkey and told Bieber he had until last Friday to produce the required papers. Since he did not, Mally had better add an umlaut to his name and develop a taste for schnitzel because Wilkommen in Deutschland!

Bieber has six weeks to contest the decision, but if his Twitter is any indication, Bieber is probably too busy for the pet he once called his “og” (original gangster).

It isn’t yet clear where Mally will live in Germany, though it’s possible he could be moved to a zoo, which will explain why the Munich Zoo becomes a top tourist destination for 14 year old girls in 2014.

Victoria’s Secret Pros Give Kendall Jenner Angel Advice

Posted: 20 May 2013 11:38 PM PDT

Kendall Jenner may not be the newest face of Victoria’s Secret just yet, but the Angels are already giving her supermodel aspirations two thumbs up.

Last month the stunning 17-year-old Jenner sister gushed in an interview with E! News about her goal of striking a pose alongside the elite group of lingerie and bikini models.

“It’s always been kind of a dream of mine. It’s something I’d love to do,” said the model-in-the-making.

Now, the pros are weighing in.

“She’s so stunningly beautiful and has so much personality. I think that she definitely could be a future Angel,” said Lily Aldridge at the big reveal of the luxe line’s What Is Sexy? List on May 14 in Santa Monica, Calif.

Although Adriana Lima recommended waiting a couple more years before spreading her Angel wings, she was equally as enthusiastic should the statuesque Jenner ever join Team VS in the future: “She’s definitely a beautiful, beautiful girl. Why not?!”

Beyoncé’s ‘Grown Woman’ Hits the Web

Posted: 21 May 2013 12:34 PM PDT

Let out that baited breath — Queen B has a new song.

After teasing the track two months ago in her Pepsi “Mirrors” commercial, Beyoncé has gifted the world with “Grown Woman,” a bold upbeat track widely believed to be the lead single off her highly-anticipated, as-of-yet-untitled fifth solo studio album.

In the song co-written by The-Dream and produced by Timbaland, Bey oozes self-confidence: "I'm a grown woman/ I do whatever I want/ I can be bad if I want/ I can say what I want/ I can live fast if I want/ I can go slow all night long." Touché.

“Grown Woman” is the first full taste of Beyoncé’s new music, following a few months of the Grammy-winning singer trickling out several snippets of upcoming songs. Back in March, Blue Ivy‘s mom previewed “Bow Down” and “I Been On,” and just weeks later, shared a short cut of “Standing on the Sun” in her new commercial for clothing brand H&M.

This latest track is suspected to have “leaked,” but oh-so serendipitously — coming as speculation continues to swirl that Bey may be pregnant with her second child. Could the song release be a clever move by the Queen to change the conversation? If so, well played.

Here Are the 5 Contenders for Song of the Summer (So Far)

Posted: 21 May 2013 09:33 AM PDT

Summer’s about to kick into overdrive, which means it’s once again time for everyone to gather ’round and predict which song will dominate and define the next couple of months on the radio.

Already, we have a boatload of contenders, ranging from the obvious (Macklemore & Ryan Lewis) to the random (Robin Thicke? What?).

But who will actually win this sucker? Check out our analysis of five major contenders, below.

Song: ‘Blurred Lines’

Artist: Robin Thicke (feat. T.I. & Pharrell)

Analysis: This song was basically DOA about a month ago; but thanks to a quick performance on The Voice last week, it’s suddenly everywhere — including in our heads. While the actual quality of the song remains in question (that falsetto? really?), you can’t deny it’s catchy. Which is a good thing if you want to win this race.
Chances of Winning: Strong (For Now)

Song: ‘Just Give Me a Reason’

Artist: P!nk (feat. Nate Ruess)

Analysis: P!nk’s latest take on adult angst has already struck a chord with music audiences; it topped the Billboard Hot 100 a couple of weeks ago, and lingered a bit longer. Like ‘Blurred Lines,’ ‘Reason’ has a catchy hook of up-and-down notes, and the collaboration between P!nk and Nate Ruess is inspired, if random. We just hope it doesn’t encourage people to pay more attention to fun.

Chances of Winning: Very Strong

Song: ‘Can’t Hold Us’

Artist: Macklemore & Ryan Lewis (feat. Ray Dalton)

Analysis: Given that we live in a world in which a Black Eyed Peas song can top the charts for months, it shouldn’t come as any surprise that ‘Can’t Hold Us,’ the latest song from Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, is doing well. But that doesn’t mean it’s any good. With a frantic beat and spastic melody, the song has the same effect as putting all of Sybil’s personalities into one room: total chaos. Which is also a good thing if you want to win this race.

Chances of Winning: Ugh. Probably, Yeah

Song: ‘#Beautiful’

Artist: Mariah Carey (feat. Miguel)

Analysis: This could actually turn out to be the song to watch. Not only is it dominated by Carey’s cohort, Miguel, it has that perfect blend of freshness and subtlety that plays perfectly on radio. Plus, it’s just a really good song.

Chances of Winning: We’ll See

Song: ‘Get Lucky’

Artist: Daft Punk

Analysis: ‘Get Lucky’ is sure to win over people who had never heard of Daft Punk before (shame on you!) but don’t expect this one to travel too far beyond the borders of Williamsburg. If anything, it feels like the song you might hear while shopping at a mall.

Courtney Stodden Has A Sex Tape… But Won’t Release It Anytime Soon

Posted: 20 May 2013 11:28 PM PDT

Courtney-Stodden-on-Farrah-Abraham

If you all thought Courtney Stodden had jumped off the Farrah Abraham sex tape bandwagon… well, she's still holding on for dear life.

The infamous teen bride, who coincidentally let it spill that she too pressed the record button in the bedroom, originally said that she has no plans to release the tape.

But now, the public may not have to hold their breath to get a glimpse of the bleach blonde bombshell in her even less than usual Lycra and stripper heel glory.

“There is that saying 'never say never,'" Stodden told Celebuzz, adding, however, that she has "zero" intentions to make it public at this very moment.

But she didn’t reveal her secret between the sheets to be a tease (say it isn’t so)… she is only staying true to her peeps.

“I was recently asked if I had a sex tape. I will always be honest with the public, and since I happen to have an XXX video I wanted to tell the truth… but it is private,” she said.

As we all know too well, Stodden is full of surprises, considering when girls usually get their driver’s license she was getting her marriage license, tying the knot with 52-year-old actor Doug Hutchison. And two years later, she marked the big 1-8 with the on-camera gift (that keeps on giving).

Although she told E! that hackers should steer clear of trying to track it down, a source tells CB! the sure-to-be freaky footage is locked away in a safety deposit box.

And clearly as an example to all the haters, Stodden is choosing to take the high road (and a higher power) when it comes to her sex tape comrade who was recently-dubbed Backdoor Teen Mom.

“I’m not here to judge her decision regarding releasing a sex tape,” said Stodden. “That’s what she chose to do, and to me, she seems to be happy with it.

“I wouldn’t say that I would ever go down the same route as anyone. We are all on our own unique journey. Only God knows what the future holds.”

Amen.

‘The X Factor’: Kelly Rowland, Paulina Rubino Officially Replacing Britney Spears, L.A. Reid

Posted: 20 May 2013 06:55 PM PDT

Simon Cowell will be surrounded by a bevy of beautiful women at the judges’ table during the new season of The X Factor, as Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubino have been confirmed as the FOX series’ newest mentors.

After much speculation, the network has confirmed that the two ladies will appear on Season 3 of the singing competition.

The songstresses join Season 2 judge Demi Lovato at the panel, replacing Britney Spears and L.A. Reid.

"It's taken more than a decade but I'm delighted to finally be on a panel with three girls (I think!)," said Cowell in the press release.

"Paulina and Kelly both have great taste and massive experience in the music industry and together with Demi, this is going to be a fun panel. It just feels like the time to do something different."

Rowland and Rubio both bring to the table experience in judging music competitions, as the former was previously judge on the UK version of The X Factor while the latter appeared on the Mexican version of The Voice.

"I am very excited to be reuniting with Simon Cowell and The X Factor family. It feels great to be able to take this journey here at home in the states!” Rowland said in a statement.

"I love The X Factor! I can't wait to find the next big music star here in America," added Rubio. "I'm so thrilled to be part of the show as a judge. Simon, be careful what you wish for, let's see if you are ready to handle me, empieza la fiesta, amigo!"

The X Factor‘s third season will premiere in Fall 2013. Auditions for the new season will start as early as this May.
