Matt Lauer’s Exes Will Compete For His Attention With Dueling Talk Shows on Dueling Networks

There are some girl-on-girl rivalries so fierce they’re all anyone can talk about: Britney vs. Christina, Elizabeth Cady Stanton vs. Lucretia Mott and most of all Matt Lauer‘s (Today Show co-host) exes Meredith Viera and Katie Couric.

Viera is in the process of filming a pilot for an NBC daytime talk show. It was reported several months ago that Viera was in talks to host such a show, but she is now moving forward and actually shooting a pilot episode for the show, US Weekly reports. The show has not been officially picked up, but if and when it is (and of course it will be, it’s Meredith Viera, people) it could put her in direct competition with Couric, whose talk show is produced by ABC.

A Viera/Couric competition could be very interesting to watch unfold. The two have similar backgrounds, both served as co-hosts of Today opposite Matt Lauer, but bring very different things to the table anchor desk. Couric is the high school homecoming queen. All sunshine and rainbows, she always knows the answer to the teacher’s question, but she’s also willing to help out a fellow classmate. She’s the girl everyone knows. Viera, on the other hand, is the cool girl. You can find her smoking cigarettes in the bathroom between classes and spiking the punch bowl at prom. She’s the girl everyone wants to know.

Since leaving Today, Meredith Viera has stayed busy, serving as a contributor at Dateline NBC and Rock Center With Brian Williams, as well as filling in for Kathie Lee Gifford sometimes on Today‘s fourth hour of wine and secrets. She has also been the host of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, a job which she is leaving soon. Announcing her departure from the game show, Viera’s statement read:

“I am about to embark on a new adventure with NBC, and I have a digital venture which will be announced shortly. This just seemed like the right time to make the move.”

Best of luck to both Couric and Viera. And remember, no fighting in the cafeteria.

Gaga and Taylor Kinney Have A Double Dinner Date Night

Lady Gaga is regaining her strength after undergoing hip surgery in February and she’s still going strong with longtime beau Taylor Kinney.

The Mother Monster has been spotted by her fans visiting Kinney in Chicago last weekend, where the twosome celebrated a big night (twice!) on April 27.

First stop, Chicago Firehouse Restaurant where the cast and crew of Chicago Fire toasted two special occasions — a wrap on season 1 and the announcement they were coming back for a sophomore turn on TV.

“They rented out the entire facility,” General Manager Jackie Gabriel told Celebuzz exclusively. “There was a DJ on the second floor, dancing, two bars and drinking because they just found out they signed on to another season.”

However, Kinney showed up sans Gaga, even though her security scoped out the place ahead of party time.

“Her security stopped by to check it all out before everyone came just to get a feel for it, but she never showed up,” Private Dining Manager Nicole Behlmann told CB!

But the actor, 31, mingled with the nearly 500-person crowd.

“He looked like he was having a great time talking to everyone,” said Behlmann. “And they ate at the buffet where we served salmon, prime rib, and lots of booze. Everyone was having fun.”

It was later that night when Gaga, 27, and her main man (who’ve been dating since they met on her music video for “You and I” in late 2011) had their private time in a much quieter setting. Eyewitnesses spotted them at RPM Italian restaurant, where Gaga was out of her wheelchair — and forget the kitten heels– she’s back in boots.

“She always looks very happy and smiley with Taylor,” fan Brenda Elizabeth told CB!

“She looked absolutely stunning with her blonde weave down to her back, very natural makeup with pinky lips.

“She was wearing a black dress with black boots she walked out looking beautiful and very confident. I showed her my Born This Way unicorn tattoo which she recognized and smiled,” added Elizabeth. “To see Gaga smile was the highlight of our day.”

Chicago Monsters have been snapping Gaga all over Chi-town this week and posting pics on Twitter.

Just last week, the superstar songstress was seen in driving around Los Angeles in a Lamborghini while she was reportedly recording her upcoming album, ARTPOP.

And now for something that will probably shut down the serves at BuzzFeed: Bob Saget, Candace Cameron Bure and Jodie Sweetin, known to millions of TV viewers as three-ninths (or however big that family grew to be) of the Tanners on Full House, posed for a photo last night at a Cool Comedy Hot Cuisine event in Beverly Hills. And it was awesome.

The happy TV family — who are now 56 (ugh), 37 (ugh) and 31 (ughhh), respectively — attended the event, which Saget hosted, to benefit the Scleroderma Research Foundation.

Amanda Bynes Busts Out Of Her Bra

Amanda Bynes is taking selfies to a whole new level.

The She’s The Man star caused quite the frenzy late Tuesday night when she shared scantily-clad photos of herself on Twitter, showing off her va-va-voom curves in a black lacy bra.

Alongside the sexy snapshots, the 27-year-old wrote that she had gained a few pounds (um, where?!) and wanted to get back to her goal weight.

“About to put on makeup! I weigh 135, I’ve gained weight!” she tweeted. “I need to be 100 lbs!”

Over the weekend, Bynes was spotted out at her local gym getting her fitness — and selfies — on, tweeting a photo of herself clad in all-white workout gear as she poses in front of some weight-lifting equipment.

The starlet also recently shaved the side of her head due to ”hair damage” after an unfortunate incident at the salon.

“I buzzed half my head like @cassie! No more old photos! This is the new me! I love it!” Bynes tweeted to fans.

With hot new snaps like these, we certainly don’t need her “old photos” anymore.

Here’s Who Could Have Been in ‘The Hangover’

Ahead of this month’s release of The Hangover Part III, The Hollywood Reporter today published an oral history of the wildly successful franchise. Among those interviewed include the stars Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis as well as producer/director Todd Phillips. The story contains several gems — including one about Heather Graham having to film a Hangover spoof for her agent’s son’s bar mitzvah, yikes — but nothing is quite as interesting as reading about how this surprise hit came together.

Given that neither Cooper nor Galifianakis were major stars when the first movie came out, it’s not really a surprise that they weren’t the first picks to play Alan and Phil. But what if it was Jake Gyllenhaal who was responsible for the group’s unremembered misadventures? Here’s who could have been in the Wolf Pack:

Phil Wenneck: According to The Hollywood Reporter, both Jack Black and Paul Rudd passed on the role of the booze-swilling teacher. There were also “others” who passed before the role eventually went to Bradley Cooper. Cooper recounts he got the role after having met Todd Phillips at an audition for Starsky & Hutch several years earlier.

Alan Garner: This role went through several rewrites before Galifianakis was cast. Initially intended to be a younger brother of the bride-to-be, both Jonah Hill and Jake Gyllenhaal were considered. After he was re-imagined as an older brother, Thomas Haden Church almost got the role.

Perhaps it’s because most people weren’t familiar with any of the stars before The Hangover, but it’s hard to imagine anyone else playing the infamous Wolf Pack.

The story also reports that the first Hangover movie earned Phillips nearly $70 million, so we know who’s buying drinks after the third and final movie’s premiere.

When you're Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon, celebrating your wedding anniversary shouldn't involve anything less than a party fit for a queen and her king.

On Tuesday night, the couple got all dressed up in their fairytale best and headed to Disneyland, Calif., where they celebrated their fifth year of marriage by renewing their vows.

"Happy 5th(!!!!!!) Anniversary to the Best Husband  in All The Land & 2 years ago pon de delivery room=luckiest Mommy in The WORLD! #HappyBirthdayDemBabies! #iluvroc&roe!!!! Just felt like tweeting you before sunset on #4:30," Mimi wrote on Instagram before the celebrations.

The evening was extra special (as it has been for the past two years for the couple): their twins Monroe and Moracco celebrated their second birthdays.

The twins also got dressed up to match Carey's princess style bridal gown and Cannon's Prince Charming outfit.

Miley Cyrus: ‘I Don’t Have Time’ to Always Be With Liam

There isn’t enough time in the day for Miley Cyrus.

As the former Disney darling puts the finishing touches on her upcoming album, she’s struggling to balance her professional with her personal life with fiancé Liam Hemsworth.

“I’m not home with my boyfriend all the time,” Cyrus says in the May issue of V magazine, which she covers three times over (see above). “We work! He gets up to work out at six and I come home around five from the studio.”

And Cyrus, 20, is well aware that her time apart from Hemsworth, 23, sets the rumor mill rolling. Over the past few months, the couple — who announced their engagement in June 2012 — has been plagued by speculation of a split.

“Every week it’s, ‘Are they broken up? Because we don’t see a photo of them,’” Cyrus explains. “I don’t have time to go to Starbucks with my boyfriend every morning. I wish I did, but I don’t.”

Instead of coffee dates with her beau, Cyrus has had her nose to the grind in the studio, collaborating with likes of illustrious producers Pharrell and Hit-Boy as well as Odd Future rapper Tyler, The Creator.

“I’ve put this record before everything and I’ve never done that before,” she says. “I’ve put too much into this record to put anything else in front of it.”

Though she’s fielding flak over the years for her sometimes wild ways, Cyrus would always prefer chill time with her hubby-to-be over hitting the club.

“I’m going to change. I’m going to be different. I’m going to do what I want to do,” she says. “[But] I’d rather chill at my house and be there for the time I actually get to spend with him.”

Sarah Jessica Parker wore an simple yet elegant embroidered dress — with practical pockets to boot — accessorized with a statement necklace and nude suede pumps for the AOL 2013 Digital Content NewFront presentation in downtown Manhattan.

Also soaking up the spotlight at the event was Nicole Richie, channeling ’60s chicness with a long-sleeved, high-neck number adorned with chain detailing across the chest.

Over in the Chelsea neighborhood, Eva Longoria hit high marks with a folded white leather frock at the fashion-forward launch event for Salvatore Ferragamo’s L’Icona leatherwear.

Nicole Richie Premieres Her New Online Series, ‘Candidly Nicole’

Yesterday, Nicole Richie debuted her AOL On web series, Candidly Nicole.  And it was awesome.

One forgets just how funny Lionel’s daughter is, and I was brought back to Fox’s The Simple Life. Richie stole the show as Paris Hilton‘s interesting sidekick, who then parlayed her career into that of a fashion icon. From there came a brand, and then a spot on NBC’s Fashion Star.

In the pilot episode, the mother of two payed a visit to LA’s Dr. Tattoff to see about removing her tramp stamp.

And the rest is reality magic…

Kevin Spacey Photobombs Unsuspecting Woman in Boston

Kevin Spacey was jogging Monday in Boston when he spotted a woman getting her picture taken. So he did what any normal adult male filmstar would do: he shouted “photobomb” and ran off laughing.

A friend of the unsuspecting victim’s thought the picture was funny, because duh, and uploaded it to Reddit. Since then, the picture has been shared all over the internet and this can officially be deemed the best photo ever taken at Boston’s Public Garden.

It’s probably been a while since Boston’s had a good laugh.

Sometimes, his suit-and-sneakers combo have a tendency to be as erratic as his past behavior. (Plus there was that whole Lederhosen incident in Munich, which no.)

But you gotta hand it to the guy for not giving two you-know-whats otherwise. (Maybe this is what happens when you make $50 million off a single movie.)

Miley Cyrus on Tuesday was photographed pumping gas the way most celebrities do: in a t-shirt, short-shorts and stiletto heels.

The 20-year-old singer-actress, whose engagement to Liam Hemsworth remains one of life’s great mysteries, specifically turned heads in a t-shirt that had the words “Sex, Drugs & Rap” written across it. (This must be what every young girl from Nashville is wearing these days.)

Cyrus also wore her on-again, off-again engagement ring this time around, so everyone can rest a little easier today.

The Kardashians have been spotted enjoying some fun in the sun on their Greek holiday and it’s first class all the way.

From Mykonos to Santorini, the locals showed the famous family how it’s done in Greece, and all the high-class hospitality that comes with it.

An insider tells Celebuzz exclusively the famous family rented out a luxe 61-foot catamaran Dream Catcher on Tuesday helmed by Capain Ted Stathis, who according to our source has taken the likes of Angelina Jolie and Cameron Diaz on private tours, so the Kardshains were in good hands.

The $3,000 half-day adventure included an open water excursion to the ancient city of Akrotiri and the Red Beach, and off to the White Beach for a dip in the clear waters of Thirassia. The sight-seeing continued with views of Indian Head Mountain, Venetian Lighthouse and venturing into the famous Caldera. They also visited Armeni village, the charming port of Ammoudi, the island of Thirassisa, the famous hot springs and cruised past the volcano.

The Jenners and Kardashians made it a family affair with Kris, Bruce, Kylie, Kendall, Brody, Brandon and his wife Leah, Kourtney, Khloe and Kim (with the grandkids in tow), who all were then treated to a special event hosted just for them at luxury resort Volcano View Villas in Santorini later that evening.

“They were treated like VIPs and didn't pay a thing,” said our source.

“They had a long day so they relaxed and were treated to some Greek traditions.”

The private event was held in the most expensive villa on the premises, the Sapphire Villa, that rents for whopping $2,500 a night. And it’s worth the pricey sum.

"There’s a huge terrace and private pool right on the edge of a volcano. So when the sun was setting they had the most spectacular view."

Parents, kids and grandkids alike enjoyed wine tasting from the region’s Santo Wines, local cheeses and traditional dips and appetizers.

And plenty of plate smashing, of course!

"They went nuts!” added the insider. "At least 100 plates were broken, but it didn't matter because they had an awesome time. It was traditional fun. It was a wonderful night.”

Jennifer Aniston Wore Another Black Dress Last Night

Jennifer Aniston wore an LBD for what felt like the millionth time to an event last night celebrating the release of a new book by yoga instructor Mandy Ingber.

The good news is: Aniston looked really good, as one would when they were about to marry Justin Theroux. (Maybe she’s just holding off on wearing white until her wedding?) Even better: There appeared to be no signs of cupping marks on her back, which sadly wasn’t the case the last time she showed up to an event wearing all-black.

According to the tabs, Aniston and Theroux are supposed to marry sometimes this year. But they’ve also been convinced for 10 years that Aniston is pregnant with twins, so take that as you will.
