| Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth Bring ‘Catching Fire’ To Cannes Posted: 18 May 2013 11:59 AM PDT  Katniss Everdeen and Gale Hawthorne reunited in France on Friday night, as the cast of Catching Fire attended a photo call at the 66th Cannes Film Festival. Jennifer Lawrence hit all the right fashion notes with a sleeveless black top and matching pants, while Liam Hemsworth looked dapper as always (though he may have forgotten a button on his shirt). The pair were joined by their co-star Sam Claflin, who plays Finnick Odair in the new film, and director Francis Lawrence. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, the second installment in The Hunger Games trilogy based on Suzanne Collins' beloved series of the same name, opens in theaters Nov. 22. A new poster featuring Katniss on top of a cliff with her bow and arrow was recently released by Lionsgate. |
| NBC Makes It Official: Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green Returning to ‘The Voice’ For Season 5 Posted: 18 May 2013 10:16 AM PDT  The original four will be calling the shots this fall as The Voice kicks off its fifth season. On Friday, NBC confirmed what we already know: Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green will be reclaiming their chairs, once again joining Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. "They're the reason this show was launched so strong for the first three cycles and we owe them a debt of gratitude," Paul Telegdy, President of Alternative and Late Night Programming for NBC Entertainment said in a statement. Telegdy also confirmed that The Voice newbies Shakira and Usher will return to the show for season six, set to premiere after the Winter Olympics in Sochi in 2014. Added NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt: "We're very fortunate to have these six incredible artists to weave in and out of the show as their performing and recording schedules permit." Aguilera announced her departure from the show in September 2012 to focus on her new album Lotus. "I'm taking a little break and going out on the road for a minute and getting back to me as an artist," she said on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno at the time. | Beyonce On Pregnancy Rumors: ‘All I Can Do Is Sit Back And Laugh…’ Posted: 18 May 2013 10:22 AM PDT  What pregnancy? Beyonce Knowles is firing back after reports that the singer is pregnant with her second child. On Saturday, the 31-year-old superstar posted a note on her Instagram account. "I can't stop the rumors from starting, and I can't really change peoples minds who believe them," she wrote. "All I can do is sit back and laugh at these low life people who have nothing better to do than talk about me." The post (full screen capture below) has since been removed. Knowles' response comes one day after E! News reported that the singer and her husband Jay-Z are expecting again. Earlier this week, Beyonce was forced to cancel a concert in Antwerp, Belgium after suffering from dehydration and exhaustion. She returned to the stage for the second scheduled Belgium show on Wednesday; the first show has been postponed to the end of the month. Bey is currently in the middle of the European leg of her Mrs. Carter Show world tour. The "Grown Woman" singer is scheduled to perform in Milan, Italy on Saturday, followed by shows in France, German and Poland for the rest of the week. The North American leg will kick off in late June and run through August.

This is the third collaboration between J.Lo and Pitbull, following the highly successful “On The Floor” and “Dance Again.” Back to the music video: the pair eventually unite at Pitbull’s beach party, where J.Lo goes through several wardrobe changes, rocks a mean shade of yellow lipstick (and matching nail polish), before jumping on a giant swing. "NEW SONG AND VISUAL FROM MY NEW ALBUM BEING PROJECTED TONIGHT ACROSS THE GLOBE ON 66 BUILDINGS, LOCATIONS @ http://KANYEWEST.COM," Yeezy wrote on Twitter. That's right, 66 buildings, including nine in New York City, six in Sydney and other locations that included Toronto, Paris and London, hosted projections as West's new song played out. Several spectators and videos posted to YouTube are concluding the song is called "New Slaves." "My mama was raised in the era when / clean water was only served to the fairer skin / threw on clothes, you would’ve thought I had help but they wasn’t satisfied unless I picked the cotton myself," West raps in the beginning of the track. In true Kanye West Twitter fashion, Friday's tweet is the account's only tweet as of Saturday morning. On May 2, the rapper posted a date, "June Eighteen," and deleted his entire Twitter history, as fans and the equally curious began the guessing game: Kim Kardashian's due date? | Who Would Win In a Fight Between ‘Fast & Furious 6′ Stars Gina Carano and Luke Evans? Posted: 17 May 2013 06:04 PM PDT  Fast & Furious 6 has much more than just cars and chicks — there’s fistfights, too. In the latest installment of illustrious speed-addicted franchise, there’s two newcomers throwing down in the streets: Luke Evans‘ tech-savvy baddie, Owen Shaw, and Gina Carano‘s badass federal agent, Riley. But if the two actors were to tussle in real life, Evans has no doubt who would come out victorious. “I’d already be halfway over London running away from her,” he told Celebuzz‘s Cory Lopez. “I’m sorry, there’s no way I’d be standing up to Gina. This woman is a force of nature.” Though she’s too humble to confess she could take Evans down, Carano’s career speaks for itself: the former MMA fighter held a 7-1 record before stepping out of the ring to try out acting. And even as a child, Carano had a natural penchant for putting her fists up. “I definitely have these violent fantasies that happen when someone is rude,” Carano said. “I used to be sitting there in school and, oh man, if I didn’t like my teacher, I’d just be kicking them in my head and doing all sorts of awful things to them. I was like, ‘wow, this is a kind of a little psychotic.’” While Carano shares Riley’s knack butt-kicking, Evans isn’t quite so similar to his character. “He’s a 21st century villain. In the issue, the 38-year-old actress and former Saturday Night Live cast member dishes on life after Studio 8H (she returned as host just last week) and the joys of peaking late (career wise). "I think the universe did me a favor, getting into it when I did," Wiig tells the magazine. "If I had been younger, I would not have been ready. If I had gotten SNL 10 years earlier, it wouldn't have been good." The New York native bid adieu to Lorne Michaels and company in May 2012 after seven seasons. You can call it good genes, but Adriana Lima just calls it all in a day’s work being a full-time mom. “I’m a hands-on mom, so they help me to get back in shape!” she told Celebuzz during the launch of Victoria’s Secret What Is Sexy? List May 14 in Los Angeles, Calif. “I’m all day running left and right and doing things.” The Brazilian bombshell, 31, has two daughters Valentina, 2, and Sienna, 7 months — both of whom are taking after their basketball star dad Marko Jaric. “My oldest one is becoming a swimmer… she’s really really good. She’s very athletic,” she said. “Sienna just started sayng ‘mama’ a few days ago. Bartha, who previously dated Ashley Olsen, proposed to his ladylove early this month at Post Ranch Inn in Big Sur, Calif. (Hollywood wedding fun fact: this is the same inn where Anne Hathaway and Adam Shulman's guests stayed at before the couple's sunset nuptials in September 2012). "They're the cutest couple," a source told Us Weekly about Bartha and his new fiancée. "The trip to Big Sur, the engagement, the ring, everything. So cute." This will be the first marriage for Bartha. His NBC series, The New Normal, recently got the axe from the network and will not be back for another season. According to Nancy Jo Sales, the journalist who famously interviewed the ring members, the burglars were obsessed with stealing the stars’ lingerie. “They wanted to look sexy. Looking sexy in a celebrity's clothes, well that's even sexier,” Sales told Vanity Fair. “Especially Miranda Kerr, who's a Victoria's Secret model. The fact that they stole the underwear just seems so weird, but it's not weird when you think about it, because they're growing up at a time when their culture is constantly telling them to be sexy.” The home of Kerr’s husband, Orlando Bloom, was also robbed by the infamous gang. “Stealing their underwear was part of a whole trend to emulate these celebrities. They don't just want expensive underwear; they want Paris Hilton's underwear,” Sales added. Let’s round-up the highlights–shall we? Here are 5 things that went down at Cannes this past week: 1. The Great Gatsby got the party started. The film got the coveted Opening Ceremony premiere spot and kicked everything off in style. 2. Speaking of… Carey Mulligan schooled everyone on the art of the festival red carpet. Her Cannes choices have seriously been on point thus far.
3. Sofia Coppola‘s much anticipated Emma Watson vehicle, The Bling Ring, made it’s debut. The early reviews are in and they’re mixed, but on the positive side.
4. Quelle horreur! A million-dollar jewelry heist went down. Super pricy designer jewelry from Chopard was stolen from a company employee’s room at the Novotel Cannes Montfleury Hotel. 5. Gunshots were heard and jury member Christoph Waltz was rushed off stage. According to The Hollywood Reporter, panic ensued when gunfire was heard before a broadcast of the entertainment program, Le Grand Journal. Everyone is safe, the shots were blanks, and a suspect has been apprehended. 6. Cindy Crawford is 47 and she’s still smokin’ hot.
