Appearing without bottoms on the cover of W Magazine‘s June/July issue, the former Harry Potter star tells the fashion glossy that it was never in her mind to be a sexy star. "I've never wanted to grow up too fast. I wanted to wear a sports bra until I was 22!" she says. "The allure of being sexy never really held any excitement for me.” “I've never been in a terrible rush to be seen as a woman." Though the 23-year-old recently appeared in British GQ sporting what some considers the epitome of sexiness, Julia Roberts‘ famous Pretty Woman getup, Watson says she’s still uncomfortable with all the barely-there costumes she has to wear for her adult roles now. Case in point: her latest movie, Sofia Coppola‘s The Bling Ring. "Who wouldn't love to go to work in Uggs and very low-slung tracksuit bottoms?" the star says her Alexis Neiers-inspired Pretty Wild attire. | Zachary Quinto and Chris Pine Compare Thier ‘Star Trek’ Bromance to Buddy-Cop Classic ’48 Hours’ Posted: 16 May 2013 11:24 AM PDT  There’s no doubt bromances have become a beloved mainstay on the big screen, from crime-fighting buddy-cops, to old-school rat-pack pairs, to superhero sidekicks. But within the world of science fiction, one bromantic story stands out from all the rest: Star Trek‘s Captain James T. Kirk and Spock. In J.J. Abrams reboot of the celebrated cult franchise, Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto resurrect that iconic intergalactic relationship, beaming it to brand new heights in the sequel Star Trek Into Darkness, in theaters now. “I think at the beginning of this movie the characters are really positioned at diametrically opposite ends of the spectrum of perspective,” Quinto told Celebuzz‘s Cory Lopez. “And it’s through the adversity that they face and the villain that they have to defeat that they come to realize how reliant they are upon one another in order to be their full and truest selves.” Though that dynamic is distinctive, Pine sees some similarities between Spock and Kirk — or Spirk, if you’re feeling fancy — and one of the more renowned bromances in movie history. “I think what makes the characters interesting is that they are so black and white. Maybe there’s a little Eddie Murphy and Nick Nolte in 48 hours, right?” he explained, giving Quinto a giggle. “You’re Nick Nolte,” Pine clarified, and “I’m Eddie Murphy.” But in Star Trek Into Darkness, their bromance is paralleled by Spock’s romance: Kirk must share Spock’s half-human, half-Vulcan heart with his lady love, communications officers Uhura (Zoe Saldana). So does Spock’s romantic relationship supersede his brotherly bond with Kirk? “In this particular movie, neither of the relationships is particularly thriving in the beginning,” Quinto admitted. “Luckily by the end, they both get resolved and find their way back to balance.” But resolving a romance is not so much an issue for Kirk. Apart from the occasional fling with an alien, love has yet to find young U.S.S. Enterprise captain. “I’m just fighting crime too much,” Pine explained. “Fighting crime, saving the world, keeping the team together. | Is Robin Thicke’s ‘Blurred Lines’ About to Become the Song of the Summer? Posted: 16 May 2013 11:37 AM PDT  Nobody seemed to care about Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” when YouTube banned its music video last month for having nude models in it. Now, though, thanks to a simple performance on The Voice Tuesday, the song is suddenly everywhere. At the very least, it’s sitting very pretty atop the iTunes Singles chart — a good position for any song to be in right now as we await the race for Song of the Summer. Will it have enough lasting power to dominate the airwaves through August? It’s possible. The song is undeniably catchy. (Try listening to it once and not getting the “Hey, hey, hey” hook stuck in your head.) It’s also hard to tell if the song is really good or really just bad (come on, that’s Alan Thicke’s son singing), which has so often proved to be a dangerous combination. On Thursday, The Vampire Diaries co-stars — and now, exes — Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder put on their professional hats and appeared on stage together at the CW Network's 2013 Upfront event in New York City. The former couple, who both dressed to impressed, was joined by the network's president Mark Pedowitz as the trio spoke about the upcoming year. While Dobrev, 24, and Somerhalder, 34, are no longer dating, the actors "will continue to work together and remain best friends, which is where the relationship started," sources told Us Weekly last week. The Vampire Diaries season four finale airs on Thursday at 8 p.m. on the CW. It was recently announced that a spin-off, The Originals will premiere during the 2013-14 season. |

On Thursday, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and Niall Horan announced the first batch of dates for their 2014 "Where We Are" stadium tour, set to kick off Apr. 25, 2014 in Bogota, Colombia. The boys, who are currently on the European leg of their "Take Me Home Tour," are set to announce more dates for their stadium tour later on. "So excited about having announced the first legs of the stadium tour. So looking forward to announcing more dates soon!!!!!!!" Styles wrote on Twitter. Added Horan, "For us this is absolutely crazy! We are soo excited! Every night is just gona [sic] be amazing! You're [sic] support is incredible you have done this x" For now, seven other Latin America dates have been announced for the "Where We Are" tour, followed by a May 25, 2014 stop in Dublin. UK dates include Sunderland on May 28, Manchester on May 31, Edinburgh on June 3 and home sweet home London on June 7. 1D's second studio album Take Me Home was the fifth best selling album in the U.S. in 2012, with more than 1.3 million copies sold. | Chloe Moretz Dishes on Hit-Girl’s Growth, ‘Carrie’ Role, and Her Style Icons Posted: 16 May 2013 10:02 AM PDT  We caught up with NYLON Magazine cover girl and Young Hollywood party hostess with the mostest Chloe Moretz the other night, and she told us a little about what to expect from two of her major upcoming roles. Moretz took on the iconic telekinetic teen title role in the reboot of the 1976 Brian De Palma horror classic, Carrie. The film is set to premiere in October and Boys Don’t Cry director Kimberly Peirce was on-hand to direct. Julianne Moore co-stars as Carrie’s religious fanatic mama. | Reese Witherspoon and Joaquin Phoenix Are Making Another Movie Together Posted: 16 May 2013 06:33 AM PDT  American citizen Reese Witherspoon and Joaquin Phoenix, whose last on-screen collaboration earned them an Oscar and Oscar nomination, respectively, will join forces again to film the next movie from Paul Thomas Anderson, Deadline reported Wednesday. The film, titled Inherent Vice, follows a cop (Phoenix) investigating the disappearance of his ex-girlfriend. Jena Malone and Martin Short, of all people, have also joined the cast, according to The Wrap. No word yet on who Witherspoon will play. (Maybe that whole arrest thing was just her being method?) Witherspoon and Phoenix previously costarred in 2005′s Walk the Line, about the behind-the-scenes relationship between singers Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash. It was a big hit.

| David Beckham Is Retiring From Soccer Posted: 16 May 2013 07:29 AM PDT  Global superstar David Beckham will retire from professional soccer (or football, depending on where you live) at the end of the season, BBC News reported Thursday. “I’m thankful to PSG for giving me the opportunity to continue but I feel now is the right time to finish my career, playing at the highest level,” he said. The move will bring to a close a wildly successful career that has spanned nearly two decades and four countries, including that time he moved to Los Angeles and tried to make soccer happen here in America. (It didn’t work.) But hey, at least his career will end on a high note. Not only did he donate his entire salary from Paris St-Germain to charity, he also helped the team win France’s first title in 19 years. Beckham joined Manchester United in 1996 at the young age of 14. From there, he would go on to become arguably the most recognizable (and best-looking) face in the sport. He was even responsible for making Keira Knightely a star. Off the field, Beckham was also known for marrying a Spice Girl and always dressing better than us. The “Heart Attack” singer shared her latest addition to her body art collection on Wednesday, the same day she dropped her self-titled fourth album, Demi. Lovato shared an over-the-shoulder snap of the still-fresh tattoo, revealing the words “now I’m a warrior” scribed on her left shoulder blade. “Thanks @BangBang!” she tweeted, shouting out her tattoo artist, Keith “Bang Bang” McCurdy, whose work lives on the skin of Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Chris Brown, Rita Ora and Cara Delevingne. “Album release day!!! #DEMI” The tat is a reference to “Warrior,” one of the more revealing songs on Lovato’s new 13-track collection, which pulls back the curtain on the former Disney darling’s personal life and relationships. | Angelina Jolie Is Her Mom’s Hero Posted: 16 May 2013 09:22 AM PDT  Angelina Jolie‘s decision to have a double mastectomy to reduce her risk of breast cancer shocked the world, even those closest to her. No one knows her family's struggle with the devastating disease more than the man who helped raise Jolie and lived with her mom Marcheline Bertrand for over a decade. "She's known for making movies and being one of the most beautiful actresses and that is her stock and trade for everything," Bill Day told Celebuzz. "For a woman in that position to do what she did is very surprising. It's undeniably brave." Day says Bertrand, who passed away at 56 from ovarian cancer in 2007, would have echoed Brad Pitt's "heroic" sentiments. "She would look at Angelina now as her hero. She'd be frightened for her, but at the same time, proud," he said. Day, who watched Jolie grow up from a precocious four-year-old to a rebellious 17-year-old as her mother's longtime live-in partner, remembers vividly how cancer has "decimated" the family: Jolie's great-grandmother, grandparents and uncle all passed away from the disease, while her aunt has been battling it for years. Day, a documentary filmmaker, says when he met Bertrand she was already going to incredible lengths to ward off the disease, including radically changing her diet and even turning to her own “New Age” advisors. “She freaked out,” he said. “She knew she had to change because her grandmother and mother all died at 45 or below. That will change you.” And she wanted to make sure her children, Jolie and James Haven, learned to live the same healthy lifestyle. In her emotional New York Times essay Jolie reveals that after discovering she carries a “faulty” BRCA1 gene, which sharply increases the risk for developing breast and ovarian cancer, she underwent the preventative surgery for the sake of her six young children and announced her private struggle to be an example for women to better understand their options. For Day, why she chose such a public forum is the one thing that didn't come as a surprise. "She was always the mother hen-type. She was always a bright star. She was always an independent thinker,” he said. “And a lot of thinking went into this. She's making all the right moves, she's a sincere person and she continues to surprise us with the decisions she makes." |

What he did do, though, was a Funny or Die Downton Abbey spoof. In it, Diddy plays Lord Wilcott, the new owner of Downton Abbey. He has been inserted into various scenes from the show and the joke is that he doesn’t know how to pronounce the name of the house? Honestly we aren’t really sure which part of this is “funny.” Take a look for yourself. |

The foxy star has only gotten hotter over the years, whether she’s chillin’ by the beach, posing on the red carpet, or stripping down to her skivvies. Megan’s had a big year. She showed off her comedy chops in This Is 40 in December and gave birth to baby boy Noah Shannon back in October. She was recently spotted on the set of the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot. Turtle power! | Moment of Then: Disney’s ‘Adventures in Wonderland’ Posted: 15 May 2013 06:59 AM PDT  ABC’s upcoming reboot of Alice in Wonderland got me thinking about Disney’s TV series Adventures in Wonderland. For those who don’t remember, it was about a modern-day Alice who solved a bunch of Carrie Bradshaw-esque thoughts by traveling to Wonderland through her bedroom mirror and hanging out with Lewis Carroll’s famous characters. (To this day, I still can’t do that mirror trick thingy; neither can my sisters.) Then she would sum everything up in a conversation with her poor, miserable cat, Dinah. The TV series was pretty short-lived; it ran for about four years, according to IMDb. (Also, Teri Garr was in it, apparently? Who knew?) As such, one would assume that its star, the precocious Elisabeth Harnois, would have ditched acting by now and taken up accounting or teaching or whatever most child stars do these days. But no, she’s apparently doing pretty well for herself. In fact, she’s now on CSI, of all shows (thank you again, IMDb!), on which she plays Morgan Brody. She’s also been on One Tree Hill, Boy Meets World and that reboot of 90210. (And she’s on Twitter, too, of course.) Anyway, here’s what Elisabeth, now 33, looks like today. (She’s kind of like a cross between Maria Sharapova and Abigail Breslin, if that makes any sense.)
I can only assume that her cat, Dinah, is in Eternal Wonderland now. (Sigh. That poor cat.) |
