| Chris Brown’s Dad: Not A Fan Of Son’s Relationship With Rihanna Posted: 28 Apr 2013 12:10 PM PDT  Heads up Chris Brown, your father has a few choice words about your on-and-off again romance with Rihanna. "I personally really didn't want him and Rihanna back together," Clinton Brown told the New York Daily News over the weekend. "You have to have a balance in a relationship. You have to have someone who is spontaneous and whimsical but you also have to have someone who is grounded an and logical." Regardless of the current status of Chris and RiRi's relationship, papa Brown has a fear for what could happen if things stay on. "I hate to use examples, but Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston and Amy Winehouse — I mean I could go on and on!" he told NYDN, referring to recent tragedies to hit the music industry. "Is that a given — that you can't have fame and fortune without [death] being the end result?"
If Clinton, 48, could play matchmaker, who would he suggest for his son? "I personally liked Jordin Sparks. She's a wholesome young lady, very pretty," he said. (Sparks and Brown collaborated on the 2008 hit, "No Air").
Other hightlights of Clinton's interview with the NYDN includes his thoughts on Brown's previous girlfriend Karrueche Tran, what it was like to meet Rihanna when the pair first dated, and that infamous 2009 Grammys assault. "One has to assume because they are back together that it wasn't one-sided. You just have to imagine it was a circumstance in which they both had a disagreement," he said. The 43-year-old superstar was joined by her boyfriend Casper Smart as the pair joined a number of celebrities in celebrating the opening of Hakkasan Las Vegas Restaurant and Nightclub at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino. The couple shared a few laughs as they pose for photos together on the blue carpet. Paris Hilton, Vanessa Hudgens, Calvin Harris and Pharrell were also spotted at the event. Next up for J.Lo: a new single called "Live It Up," set for a May 8 release, and the June 3rd premiere of The Fosters, an ABC Family TV series produced by the singer. On Saturday, Scarlett Johansson and Matthew McConaughey got all dolled up as they posed for the Italian fashion house's new campaign. Johansson, 28, donned a black lace dress while her onscreen counterpart looked dapper in a black suit and tie.

| Muscles Win Big At Weekend Box Office: ‘Pain & Gain’ Makes $20M Posted: 28 Apr 2013 09:52 AM PDT  America, you loved muscles this weekend. Pain & Gain, starring Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne Johnson and Anthony Mackie, ruled the box office with $20 million in its opening weekend, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The Michael Bay action film, based on the true story about a group of Miami bodybuilders and their crimes in the late '90s, beat out last week's topper Oblivion, starring Tom Cruise, and the Jackie Robinson biopic 42.
Fellow box office newcomer The Big Wedding failed to finish in the top three, despite a star-studded cast that includes Amanda Seyfried, Robert De Niro, Susan Sarandon and Diane Keaton. Next weekend's box office will surely be a record-breaking one, as the first of several heavyweights will kick off the summer blockbuster season. Iron Man 3, do your thing. On Saturday, the 20-year-old star hit the red carpet for the 2013 Radio Disney Music Awards, which were handed out at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, Calif. Gomez donned a loose leather tee by Vince, paired with a skirt by Blumarine and heels from Nicholas Kirkwood, according to the fan fashion blog Selena's Closet. During the show, the singer and actress performed her new single "Come & Get It," the first track off her highly anticipated summer album. Earlier this week, Adidas unveiled images from Gomez's new ad campaign for the company's Neo streetwear collection. During the P.O.T.U.S.' speech, he presented a video of Steven Spielberg's “latest project”: a film starring Daniel Day-Lewis as Obama, in Obama. "Was it hard playing Obama? I'll be honest, yeah, it was. His accent took a while," Obama said as Day-Lewis. "The cosmetics were challenging. You wouldn't believe how long it takes to put these ears on in the morning. In preparation of the upcoming Star Trek sequel, Zachary Quinto has been travelling around the world alongside Chris Pine and director J.J. Abrams. The campaign is being put on by Together For Short Lives, a UK charity that speaks for children with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions, as well as those who love and care for them. “Children’s hospices provide lifelines to families at a time of unimaginable pain,” Catherine said in the message. ”The support they give is vital.” Her Royal Highness is patron of East Anglia Children’s Hospice, where she made her very first speech in March 2012. |

Tonight, she put everyone else to shame (with the exception of FLOTUS) at the 2013 White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington, D.C. Vergara, who brought along her fiance, Nick Loeb, had a laugh on the red carpet with co-star Ty Burrell before joining Hayden Panettiere, ABC News’ David Muir and GMA‘s Lara Spencer for dinner inside the Washington Hilton. Vergara is launching a new shapewear line with KMart, and tweeted/WhoSay’d a photo of herself in one of the designs. "Usually, when I go to an event I wear shapewear,” Vergara told WWD (via the New York Post). ”It's not to hold anything in, but to smooth everything out.…But I do have to wear a bra with everything." Three days after the actor launched a Veronica Mars movie-style Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for his next project Wish I Was Here, the goal of $2 million has been reached. The amount raised so far, as of Saturday, Apr. 27 at 4:45 p.m. EST is $2,023,436 — and counting. Oh, and he’s still got 26 days to go. "28,000 Financiers in 3 days! Un-f-cking I will not let you down. Let's go make a killer movie!" Braff, 38, wrote on Twitter. The former Scrubs star also took to Facebook to post a video with the caption, “This is how you've made me feel." (It's just him bopping his head to "The Lonely Goatherd" from The Sound of Music).
