| Chris Hemsworth Looks Mighty And Powerful In New ‘Thor’ Poster Posted: 19 Apr 2013 11:17 AM PDT  This demigod is ready to rock. On Friday, Marvel and Disney unveiled the first teaser poster for Thor: The Dark World, the follow-up to the 2011 blockbuster starring Chris Hemsworth as the Nordic super hero. "It doesn't get much badder than Chris Hemsworth as Thor," Marvel president of production Kevin Feige told USA Today. "It's rare that you have a poster that is just Chris Hemsworth shooting on the set . . . but he just looks like Thor. We just put in some lightning, and he's got his hammer and you're there. It's just an incredibly striking image."
The film, directed by Alan Taylor (whose resume includes episodes of Mad Men and Game of Thrones), will also see the return of Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, Tom Hiddleston asLoki, Idris Elba as Heimdall, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewisand a slew of others. Christopher Eccleston (of Doctor Who fame) will portray the villain Malekith the Accursed. | ‘American Idol’ Results Recap: The Save Is Still In Play Posted: 19 Apr 2013 12:23 PM PDT  American Idol delivered several surprises on Thursday's Top 5 results show. The FOX competition welcomed back Season 3 winner, Fantasia Barrino and Season 2 runner-up, Clay Aiken. Other unexpected surprises came from Paula Abdul, who surprised Candice Glover onstage, and LaToya London, another season 3 standout. The crowd was full of famous faces including Season 4 winner, Jordin Sparks and her boyfriend, Jason Derulo. Also in the audience was Pete Wentz's recently reunited band, Fallout Boy. After a group medley of Donna Summer's hits, the ladies learn what Jimmy Iovine thought of their performances. Angie Miller is first to get her rundown from the label exec who says he wasn't impressed with her rendition of Beyonce's "Halo." Nicki Minaj disagrees. "Jimmy has no idea what he's taking about," she said. 10 Things You Didn’t See On Last Night’s American Idol Jimmy didn't love Candice Glover's take on Paula Abdul's hit, 'Straight Up," but he was absolutely amazed by her turn at "Believe." Ryan Seacrest has a trick up his sleeve when he brings out Paula herself while Candice is hearing her critique. “I’ve been watching this remarkable young lady captivate the audience week after week,” she said. "I'm such a big fan." Clay Aiken performed "Bridge Over Troubled Water" as an ode to his season stealing number. I wish he would have done something else. After Lazaro Arbos' repeated attempts at this song this season, I'm super sick of it. Next up is Janelle Arthur, whom Jimmy says delivered a strike out with her song choices. He thinks she should be in the bottom. Lucky for her, Janelle'sown idol, Dolly Parton, wrote her a few words of encouragement. “Don’t you feel a bit bad that you didn’t get great reviews on Dumb Blonde. We know you’re not dumb, and you’re not blonde. I will always love you.” The country cutie seems to know she may be a bit out of her league with the rest of the divas. Still, the judges will probably use their save and keep all these ladies around for one more week. Why not, right? When Fantasia takes the stage to perform her new single, " Lose To Win," it's clear she's having a moment. The troubled singer has finally rebounded from a tough few years and chose the Idol stage to make her triumphant return. This is what this show is all about. Amazing. Amber Holcomb will likely land on the bottom again as well, even though Jimmy and the rest of the panel think she deserves nothing but praise. "If there was a place above the top two, that’s where she belongs,” said Mariah. Jimmy thinks her ballsy song selections will pay off. Last, there's Kree Harrison, whose Wednesday night performances got mixed reviews from the panel. Jimmy disagreed with her song choices as well, which is a bit shocking since she never receives anything but glowing reviews. Looks like America agrees with Jimmy tonight…they put Kree and Janelle in the bottom 2. At this point, I know exactly what's going to happen. If Kree gets voted off, the judges will surely save her. If it's Janelle getting the ax, they'll likely say "goodbye." Right and right. Janelle is in the bottom and she's singing for the save. The remaining four finalists look desperate to save her as she takes one final stab at "Set Me Free," in hopes of scoring the save. She doesn't. The panel is split in half, forcing them to send Janelle packing. Since the save is still in play, we can expect some more surprises over the next couple of weeks, unless of course the show wants to alter its airing schedule. Highly doubtful. Who will the judges save this season? |
| Celebrities Petition California to Give Kelly Rutherford Custody of Her Children Posted: 19 Apr 2013 09:32 AM PDT Since their divorce in 2010, Kelly Rutherford and Daniel Giersch have been embroiled in a bitter custody battle over their two children. Last year, a California judge made the controversial ruling that the children would live in France with Giersch, who is banned from entering the United States after his visa was revoked for fraud. Now, thousands of people — some famous — are voicing their support for Rutherford, who has been fighting to bring her children, who were both born in America, back. A friend of Rutherford’s, Caroline Fina, launched a petition on change.org asking California Gov. Jerry Brown to bring two children, 6 and 3, back home. Fina’s children used to attend school with Rutherford’s and they used to have play dates together. “This petition is about bringing Kelly's beautiful children back home to the life they know, in the only country they've ever known,” the petition states. “There is no good reason for Kelly's boy and girl to be forced to live across the Atlantic.” Among those who’ve signed already are Lisa Rinna, Real Housewife Jill Zarin, hockey player Sean Avery, singer Estelle and Rutherford herself. Speaking to Page Six, Rutherford says, “it's a touching thing to do from mother to mother. We would wait for our kids together and have play dates together. So she saw [the drama] firsthand.” “A lot of mothers were really shocked by this,” Rutherford continued. “I think it would make any mom think, ‘If it can happen to her, then it can happen to me.’” Rutherford also tells Page Six she has flown to France 40 times to see her children since they were sent there last August. The kids will remain overseas until September at least, that’s when a judge is set to make a permanent ruling in the case. |

| Kim Kardashian Finalizes Divorce With Kris Humphries Posted: 19 Apr 2013 11:07 AM PDT  Kim Kardashian is no longer married to basketballer Kris Humphries, a source confirms to Celebuzz. A Los Angeles judge has dissolved the couple’s marriage in a court hearing Friday, ruling that Humphries will not receive the $7 million he requested from Kardashian in the case. Humphries, 28, has also dropped his request for an annulment based on fraud. "Kris knew that there was no fraud, so the judge urged him to settle and move on. The judge signed the divorce papers and this is done," the source tells us. Kardashian, 32, and Humphries first married in an extravagant wedding in Montecito, Calif., on Aug. 20, 2011, but announced their separation after 72 days of marriage with the starlet filing for divorce on Oct. 31, 2011 citing irreconcilable differences. “After careful consideration, I have decided to end my marriage. I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision. I had hoped this marriage was forever, but sometimes things don’t work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best,” she said in a statement at the time. Kardashian is currently expecting her first child with boyfriend, Kanye West. The E! reality star is due this July. |

| Prince Harry Announces South Pole Trek Alongside Wounded Servicemen And Women Posted: 19 Apr 2013 12:18 PM PDT  Prince Harry's heading to the South Pole. On Thursday, the 28-year-old confirmed that he will be taking part in a 208-mile race as part of the Walking With The Wounded South Pole Allied Challenge, set to kick off in November. Harry will trek alongside a team comprised of seriously injured former British servicemen and women, officially called Team Glenfiddich. "Ladies and gentlemen, these men and women have given their all in the cause of freedom, in our cause. That they should once again step into the breach — this time facing down the extreme physical and mental challenges of trekking to the South Pole — just underlines their remarkable qualities," the royal said at the launch event, held at London's Mandarin Hotel. Harry and company will compete against teams from Canada, Australia and the U.S. during the four-week race. "It just remains for me to say to Soldier On Canada, Soldiers To Summits from the US and Solider On Australia — welcome to the party. As a member of the British team, I will have a brew ready for you when you join us at the Pole." The prince competed in the same charity's race to the North Pole in 2011, but dropped out early to attend the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. Harry also missed out on 2012's Mount Everest race due to military work.
"The format may be different. The scale is certainly different," Harry said of South Pole trek. "But the aim remains the same — to enable our wounded to do what they and all other servicemen and women do better than anyone else I know — meet a challenge head-on and overcome it and inspire others to do the same." | Bradley Cooper Visits Survivor Who Lost Both Legs In Boston Bombings Posted: 19 Apr 2013 08:50 AM PDT  Actor Bradley Cooper on Thursday paid a visit to Jeff Bauman Jr., who lost both legs below the knee during the blasts at the Boston Marathon on Monday. The photo, in which Cooper is seen smiling at Bauman Jr.’s bedside, was taken inside the Boston Medical Center by New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman, who uploaded it to his Twitter. Cooper is currently in Boston filming a new untitled movie from David. O Russell, about the FBI’s ABSCAM sting operation in the ’70s. Cooper also attended the interfaith service on Thursday, and was photographed by Twitter user @shushwalshe.

| Carey Mulligan’s Tiffany Gala Look Was Kind Of Weird Posted: 19 Apr 2013 08:50 AM PDT  Carey Mulligan divided critics Thursday night when she arrived to the Tiffany & Co. Blue Book Ball looking a little, uh, severe. The Oscar-nominated actress, who stars in May’s The Great Gatsby, wore a half-cape, half-tuxedo blazer of sorts by Victoria Beckham. What she didn’t wear, though, was any makeup, which made this red-carpet risk all the riskier. In hindsight, the look was actually pretty cool, in that Tilda Swinton kind of way. It’s just hard to figure out what to make of it, since Mulligan wouldn’t even smile for the cameras. | One Suspect In Boston Bombing Is Dead; Second Remains At Large Posted: 19 Apr 2013 07:14 AM PDT  BREAKING NEWS: A chaotic chase through the suburbs of Boston early Friday morning led to the death of one of the suspects in the Boston Marathon bombings, as well as a campus police officer, according to The New York Times. The second suspect, identified as Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev, 19, of Cambridge, Mass., remains at large. Law enforcement officials identified the dead suspect as Dzhokhar’s brother, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26. They are both believed to be Chechens. The news comes only hours after the FBI released photos of Dzhokhar and Tamerlan late Thursday evening, urging those who knew information about them to call their hotline. Dzhokhar is said to be the man wearing the white hat in the photos. As the hunt to find Dzhokhar continues, Gov. Deval Patrick has suspended all public transportation in the MBTA system. A number of prominent colleges, including Harvard, Boston College and Boston University, canceled classes on Friday. According to the report, the chase began around 10PM Thursday evening after two men robbed a 7-11 store at gunpoint. Afterward, they shot and killed an MIT campus security guard and carjacked a Mercedes SUV, fully armed. This led police into Watertown, where reports say police and the suspects exchanged gunfire. Multiple explosions went off Monday afternoon near the finish line of the Boston Marathon, killing three people and leaving over 100 injured. | RiRi’s Former Mansion Take$ A Price Cut Posted: 18 Apr 2013 10:05 PM PDT  Remember when Rihanna couldn't unload her defective Beverly Hills mansion fast enough four years ago? It was so bad (complete with extensive leaks and structural issues), that the "Umbrella" singer filed a lawsuit and was even willing to take a more than $2 million profit loss when she listed it as a short sale in November 2011 for $4.5 million. (And the new owner bought it for the bargain price of $5 million instead.) Well, the house saga continues. Ever since the industrious flipper put it back on the market in September 2012 for a whopping $9.95 million, they still can't sell it seven months later. So that's good news for a potential buyer because now they've slashed the price from nearly $10M to $8.395M.
The 8,520 square foot manse with 270-degree views of the Los Angeles skyline has gotten a facelift, but still has rocker RiRi written all over it. Complete with seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms, the gated home comes with a tiered home theater for private screenings, three fireplaces, bar, library, chef’s kitchen, pool and spa, and a custom closet with suede ceilings. But the 25-year-old superstar has moved on and in to even fancier digs to the tune of $12 million. The 11,000 square foot Pacific Palisades, Calif. pad similarly has seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms, zero-edge swimming pool, and media and game room. Not too shabby, RiRi. And if it sounds familiar, it’s the same property where an intruder was arrested by police for just two months ago. |
| Justin Bieber Is Now Wearing Designer Facemasks Posted: 19 Apr 2013 07:49 AM PDT  Justin Bieber’s Instagram page took another bizarre turn on Thursday when the 19-year-old singer posted a photo of himself wearing some type of elaborate balaclava designed by Chanel (or “Channel,” as Bieber writes). Still, the spelling mishap didn’t seem to bother his fans too much, who responded to the photo as one might expect. (“You can come and rob me anytime!!” from user juliebieber97 was probably the highlight.) Bieber recently uploaded a cartoon drawing of himself naked in bed with a fan, which caused an uproar among critics.
