| The Tweetsplainer: Welcoming Bill Clinton to Twitter Posted: 25 Apr 2013 12:45 PM PDT  Welcome to Twitter, Bill Clinton! The nation’s 42nd president officially started tweeting last night as @billclinton. He’s been on Twitter since the beginning of the month, when Stephen Colbert took the liberty of creating Clinton’s account at @prezbillyjeff and sending out his first tweet. However, last night Clinton officially took control of his account, switched his handle, got verified and has sent out three tweets, at the time of this writing. This is all very exciting, President Clinton! Next you can ditch that Yahoo email address and switch to this new thing called Gmail. Don’t stop thinking about tomorrow, Bill, am I right? But the online world can be a very scary place, especially for an outsider. Twitter especially, where users can sometimes seem to speak in an entirely different language. There’s no need to be discouraged, though, because Celebuzz has put together a little tweetsplainer, if you will, to help you hit the ground running… 140 characters at a time. | Here’s Everyone Who Met Harry Styles Last Night Posted: 25 Apr 2013 12:40 PM PDT  Los Angeles was graced by the presence of the one and only Harry Styles on Wednesday night. And according to several Instagram and Twitter updates from the likes of Mindy Kaling and Tori Spelling, Hollywood was very glad to see him. "so this happened," Kaling wrote on her Instagram account, along with a snapshot of herself posing with the One Direction heartthrob. Styles also posed with Instagram founder Kevin Systrom, who hosted the gathering. Milla Jovovich asked her Instagram followers, "So…Who would you rather?" While Spelling called Styles her "new boyfriend," along with the hashtags #DeanSaidItsOk, #OneDirection and #StellasGonnaBJealous, referring to her 4-year-old daughter Stella. Speaking of Spelling's hubby Dean McDermott, he wrote the following on Twitter: "Had a nice chat with #onedirection Harry Styles last night at an event. Super nice guy. Great hair." Kevin Jonas also met Styles, writing on Twitter, "Last nights instagram event was awesome thank you @kevin and nice to finally meet you @Harry_Styles good times." After a whirlwind trip to a Miami strip club over the weekend, Rihanna tweeted at BFF Katy Perry, cheekily telling the popstar that she’ll let her smack her booty the next time they hang out. The racy tweet comes after Perry, 28, tweeted that she was slightly miffed at the “Stay” crooner after she went to King Of Diamonds Gentlemen’s Club without her. “Ermm…I was in LA Saturday night…Should I be proud or offended I wasn’t invited @rihanna #WHOISTHISDOPPLEGANGER,” she tweeted to her pal. In all honesty, Rihanna wasn’t even in the same city as the songstress that night. But like a true friend, the 25-year-old said that she’ll make it up to her somehow. RiRi wrote, “@katyperry errm I wasn’t! Lol! #miaminights howeverrrrr….I’ll still let you spank me!” Perry then proceeded to try and set up an actual time and place for said “spanking,” writing back, “Don’t worry @rihanna I’ll make it up to you at Barclays…” She added, “Or more like let you make it up to me… Hehehe @rihanna.” So, that’s a reason to tune into the MTV Music Video Awards — which is slated to be held at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center — this August. To this I say: Tough sh*t. Oh, and in December 2010 she was arrested for possession of black tar heroin. Neiers is now clean and sober, married to Canadian businessman Evan Haines and is expecting her first child next month. She keeps fans updated on her life via her blog, itsalexisneiers.com. After a new trailer for the Sofia Coppola-directed flick was released, Neiers tweeted about how she was portrayed by Emma Watson. “It’s trashy and inaccurate,” Neiers tweeted on Tuesday. ”Based on Detective Goodkin and Nancy Joe Sales inaccurate information. 2 people who are everything they accused us of being: Celebrity status obsessed, fame & money hungry. “The detective who has been caught in multiple lies and who played himself in this film and a woman who is an irresponsible, inaccurate and a dishonest journalist who is currently writing a book based on inaccurate facts. “The truth will come out soon enough and I have no intention of seeing this film. | Don’t Worry, Biebs — Drug Case In Sweden Will Be Closed Posted: 25 Apr 2013 11:49 AM PDT  Justin Bieber can breathe a sigh of relief because he won't be questioned in the drug raid that took place on his tour bus in Sweden April 25, police tell Celebuzz. Case closed. (Phew!) "Justin will not be questioned because no one was on the bus when we searched it. So you don't know who to press charges against," Press Officer with the Stockholm County Police Kjell Lengren told CB! "As far as I know there is no further case." According to Lengren, a policeman at the concert smelled a suspicious odor coming from Biebs' tour bus in the garage and called it in to have it searched. "It was suspected someone was using drugs and a small about of suspected marijuana or hash was found," Lengren said, adding that lab test results will be ready in about 14 days. Authorities also uncovered an electric stun gun on the bus, which is another big legal no-no in the Scandinavian country. "Justin's not allowed to have narcotics or electric tasers in Sweden and as far as we know he did not have permission,” Lengren said. But anyone who was on the bus is now off scot-free. "There was no one on the bus when it was searched. Everyone had already left to go to the concert. "Because the bus was empty we have no suspect to describe or question. So we don't know who to question. "We don't know who was in it when it left the Grand Hotel (where Bieber was staying). We've got to have a reason to question somebody in Sweden and we didn't. So we can't just pick anyone. We try to find the right suspect. "We also don't know when it [the suspected marijuana and electric stun gun) was put on the bus or if it had been there for a long time. The bus came from Norway so it could have been put on the bus before. "That is why we can't question them.” Bieber is scheduled to perform in Helsinki, Finland on April 26. "We are waiting for the results from the lab," added Lengren. "I think the case will be closed when the results come in. "We got the drugs and the electric gun, so we will have to be satisfied with that.” This isn’t the first time Biebs has run into some legal hot water while on tour… and had something taken away by authorities. As reported by Celebuzz, his cute capuchin Mally was confiscated by German customs officials after Biebs brought the baby monkey into the country on his private jet last month because he didn’t have the official paperwork. | Zooey Deschanel Receives Apology After Boston Manhunt Closed Captioning Fail Posted: 25 Apr 2013 10:47 AM PDT  A closed captioning company that misidentified Zooey Deschanel as one of the Boston bombing suspects on live television last week has issued an apology to the actress. Kala J. Patternson, the president of Kansas-based Caption Solutions says the company "deeply" regrets the incident and "sincerely apologize for this error." [via The New York Post] The apology comes just days after Deschanel's name was entered into a caption as Dallas-Fort Worth's Fox 4 channel aired the latest on the hunt for bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. "He is 19-year-old Zooey Deschanel," the closed captioning bar read, alongside a photo of Tsarnaev. The error was caught by journalist Peter Ogburn, among other viewers, who then shared the screenshot on Twitter and beyond. Deschanel also commented on the mistake later that night. "Whoa! Epic closed captioning FAIL!" she wrote in response to a retweet by actor Joel McHale.
Tsarnaev, who was arrested on Apr. 19, has since been charged with use of a weapon of mass destruction and malicious destruction of property resulting in a death. He could face the death penalty or life in prison. |

As the newest cover girl for the May issues of Coco Eco and Disfunkshion magazines, the 26-year-old beauty (who goes from super sexy to a laid back Cali girl), she opens up about going organic for 7-month-old son Camden, body image and why we haven't seen her return to the small screen.

"I gained 25 pounds… and since then I have been choosing a more plant-based diet. I work out four times a week." And that kind of lifestyle she's even passed down to her son.
"I don't want to put anything on him which has chemicals," she said. "And so everything is organic. It also makes you think about what you're putting on your own body. It's made me look at my cosmetics and face products because if you don't want it on your baby why would you want it on yourself.” But her fiancé, Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, is good at keeping her in check. "I'm lucky to have Jay who would rather have a couple pounds on me. He tells me when I'm too skinny, that helps," she told Disfunkshion.

"Being a mom has definitely changed my priorities,” she told Disfunkshion. “It's all about him. I've turned down jobs that would have kept me in L.A. because I want to be there for him. "The sacrifices we make for love," she added in Coco Eco. "I think you have to have a good balance. It's easy to get wrapped up in your own career and have that be your only focus and I want my marriage to work and last, and family comes first." Cavallari and Cutler, 29, have been dating since the fall of 2010. | Joaquin Phoenix Drops $1.3M On The House Next Door Posted: 24 Apr 2013 11:21 PM PDT  Joaquin Phoenix loves where he lives so much that not only did he have to keep his property, but he just had to buy his neighbor’s as well. The Oscar-nominated actor already resides in a humble abode atop the Hollywood Hills at famed Laurel Canyon and Mulholland Drive, but after seven years he may be looking to expand or just have another place to call home. According to Trulia, the 38-year-old thespian’s current “ordinary-by-Hollywood-standards” property (that can be seen in his infamous mock-umentary I'm Still Here) was purchased in November 2006 for a not-so-ordinary price of $4.8 million. So it seems the house next door was just too good to pass up for mere $1.3M. So what does The Master actor get for that kind of ca$h? The 2,511 square foot gated home boasts three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a living room and dining room that opens up to a grassy landscaped courtyard that includes a stone waterfall and custom outdoor fireplace. Not to mention, the new residence includes a breathtaking view of the canyon and city. | ‘American Idol’ Recap: The Final Four Sings Thrice Posted: 25 Apr 2013 09:29 AM PDT  American Idol is down to the final four and this week, they face the stage three times each for a spot at the top. The FOX show's fierce, all-female competition is heating up with the ladies taking on one hit wonders, a song of their choice and a duet. The judges are fishing for things to critique at this point since all four women have stellar singing skills. Amber Holcomb opens the show with Celine Dion's "Power of Love." She's wearing an all-white jumpsuit and with a new curly hairdo. She's giving me Whitney circa 1988 and I kind of love it — and so does the panel. "That's how you do it. If ever there was a song that was so tailor made for everything in your voice, it was that song. That was amazingly perfect song choice for you. I thought you handled it beautifully," says Keith Urban. "The range was crazy and effortless and I love watching all the poise and confidence that has come into you in the last few weeks. It's extraordinary. There's reason you're standing here in the final four." Nicki Minaj says she looks like "a big sexy glass of milk," and asks for a moment of silence for how beautiful she looks. "That song was made for you. You are so current outside of your amazing voice, you're so ready, it's just like we're at your show," she gushes. "You don't even feel like a contestant anymore. Congratulations!" Randy Jackson makes some gross comment about her looking like a black and white cookie. Mariah Carey says she took a classic song and gave it flavor. "Keep it going!" Candice Glover is a big Drake fan and gives him a shout out and shows off a photo of the two of them together. She'll choose the first hip-hop song of the season, covering his hit, " Find Your Love." The vocals are amazing, and I really like that she took a risk with this song. Nicki says she's worried she'll be cornered into an "old-fashioned" market. That's weird, since this song is pretty recent. Randy says, "It can't always sound like you're in church.” The crowd booed and for good reason. He should have kept that to himself. In a miraculous turn of events, Mariah makes a good, sensible critique! "Please don't veer from taking those musical chances," she says. "This was risky but you did it." Agreed. Keith loves the "power in the quiet moments" of her voice. Me too. When Kree Harrison takes the stage, I get goosebumps. She's just so soulful and so sweet. It's hard not to root for her. She sings Susan Tedeschi's, "It Hurt So Bad," and it sounds so good. The song is a little boring despite her wonderful riffs, and I'm wishing she did something more up-tempo. The judges hate her song choice. Randy says it was "vocally tremendous," but felt that parts were "disconnected." The crowd doesn't agree and boos him again. Keith wants her to "pour her heart out," and says she's not giving enough. Nicki agrees and says she looks sexy in red. "That was not a top four-worthy performance," she says. "Everyone else can blow smoke up you're a**, but that ain't it!" They're all nuts. Kree is everything. Angie Miller is back with a vengeance after a few weeks of flying below my radar. She's also back at the piano, which will certainly please the judges. She sings Jessie J's, "Who You Are," and the crowd is mesmerized. Her harrowing voice sounds a million times better when she's playing piano. It's undeniable. Mariah wants her to sing another original song. Randy calls it "the best performance of the night." The duets are super fun to watch. I wish they did a few more instead of spending so much time on the b-roll from the children's hospital. Amber and Kree tackle Adele's "Rumor Has It." Who knew I could love that song any more than I already did? Love. Love. Love. Candice and Angie sing "Stay" by Rihanna and it's awesome. I want them to stay singing. The one hit wonders aren't as great as the first round, but still super strong vocals from all of the ladies. Amber revives Richard Harris and Donna Summer's "MacArthur Park" and Candice picks Samantha Sang's, "Emotion." That one was a bit of a cheat since Destiny's Child and The BeeGees released super successful covers as well. Kree sings Procol Harem's "A Whiter Shade of Pale" and Angie tries Julie London's, "Cry Me a River." All of the ladies get great marks from the judges and it's clear America has their work cut out for them. My guess is that the judges will use their save this week. This is way too tight a race to cut it short. Who will be on the chopping block? |

Princess Diana was a patron of the charity from 1991-1996. Harry took on the challenge of changing a baby’s diaper with just one hand, which he failed miserably at. According to the Daily Mail‘s Rebecca English, Harry grabbed the plastic baby by her leg to flip her over. “She stayed asleep all the time,” Harry joked of the plastic baby. ”She didn’t cry once.” Harry also visited Russell Youth Club, where he met youth workers from four organizations involved with young people in the city. Harry signed his name on a graffiti wall during the visit The royal also popped by the Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies, meeting staff and students, as well as officially opened the Notts TV Institute. Taking a page from his father, Prince Charles, Harry stepped in to read the news during a student broadcast, according to the Telegraph. So, how did Harry do on camera? |

| Swedish Police Find Drugs (And a Stun Gun) on Justin Bieber’s Tour Bus Posted: 25 Apr 2013 11:43 AM PDT Swedish police are investigating this morning after finding drugs and a stun gun on board Justin Bieber’s tour bus last night. The raid happened last night during Bieber’s concert in Stockholm. A police spokesman told the AP that police raided the bus after they smelled marijuana coming from the bus. No one was arrested as the bus was empty at the time. The spokesman declined to identify what drug was found, but from context clues we can probably assume it some type of drug that smells like marijuana. Whip-its maybe? Police say they have no suspects, and no known terror cells have taken credit for framing the Canadian pop star. In January of this year, TMZ released photos that appear to show Bieber himself smoking what the site claimed was marijuana in a California hotel room. He addressed the controversy while hosting Saturday Night Live in February, saying, in character as someone else, “I also heard he got busted for smoking weed and he’s really sorry about it and people make mistakes and he’s never gonna do it again.” |
| Kendall Jenner Makes Her Art Gallery Debut Posted: 25 Apr 2013 07:48 AM PDT  Kendall Jenner and dad Bruce stepped out last night for a party at a gallery in West Hollywood. The 17 year old wore a form-fitting black bandeau dress and sky high wedges to the Guy Hepner Gallery to check out an exhibit called Nomad Two Worlds, in which several portraits of her are featured. A few weeks back, Kendall tweeted a picture of herself with one of the pieces in the exhibit featuring her.

After racking up many accomplished roles on his resume, Ben Affleck will add one more when he is bestowed an honorary degree from distinguished Brown University next month. The Hollywood honcho will receive a Doctor of Fine Arts (D.F.A.) during the ivy league school’s 245th commencement on May 26, when five other notable artists, writers, scientists and educators will also receive honorary degrees. The mark of distinction comes on the heels of Affleck riding high on the award season success of Argo, a historical drama — which he directed, produced and starred in — chronicling the C.I.A. covert operation to rescue six American hostages trapped in Iran in the 1980s. Though Affleck was snubbed for a Best Director Academy Award, the widely-acclaimed film went on to nab Oscar glory as the Best Picture winner, beating out a field of favorites that included frontrunners like Silver Linings Playbook, Zero Dark Thirty, Les Miserables and Lincoln. Affleck certainly isn’t the first industry notable to take home an honorary Brown degree. Last year, the Rhode Island university granted degrees on Oscar-nominated actress Viola Davis,who followed in the footsteps of three-time Academy Award-winning actor Jack Nicholson and Oscar-winning Sundance festival creator Robert Redford. |
| OMG! Two Lucky Girls Get To Moon Ryan Gosling Posted: 24 Apr 2013 05:41 PM PDT  That's right, ladies. Mr. Gosling wants to see your bum. But, it's not quite what you think. Let us explain. Now that the heartthrob is taking a break from acting (cue tears), he's stepping behind the camera for his directorial debut of How To Catch A Monster.
The film is being shot in Detroit, Mich. with extras casting director Ryan Hill putting out the word to all locals that "mooning" Gosling could be in their fortuitous future. Hill writes on his Facebook page:
The movie, also written by Gosling, is scheduled to start filming May 6 with extras being paid $100 a day (not too shabby for getting a glimpse of Gosling all in a day’s work.) The gritty movie is also looking for a "curvy/plus-size female dancer or two willing to be partially nude/topless" and people for a mosh pit scene. Starring The Host’s Saoirse Ronan, Christina Hendricks and Gosling's lady love Eva Mendes, How to Catch a Monster is described as a fantasy noir, suspense and modern day fairytale about a vanishing city where a single mother swept into a dark fantasy underworld, while her teenage son discovers a secret road leading to an underwater town. The 40-year-old Oscar winner donned a sheer cut-out dress by Antonio Berardi that marked one of her most daring and, okay, yes, beautiful looks in quite some time.
