| Go Inside Jessica Simpson’s Baby Shower Posted: 17 Apr 2013 01:37 PM PDT  Jessica Simpson's expecting the pitter patter of little (boy) feet and admits she's crossing her fingers baby No. 2 will take after this fashionable mama. "Maxwell is definitely a daddy's girl… so I hope my son will be a mama's boy," she told People in the mag's exclusive sneak peek inside the Fashion Star mentor's Tom Sawyer-themed baby shower April 14 at Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles. As style savvy as the mommy mogul shows the world each week on the hit NBC show, this time around she's making a different fashion statement sans her signature stilettos. "I've been less about the fashion and more about the comfort," she told the mag. "With Maxwell, I tried to wear heels the whole time, but it hurt my knees. Now I'm wearing more flats!
"I'm a lot less anxious this pregnancy. I'm a lot more easygoing." She also learned a few foodie lessons from her first pregnancy, when she gained a headline-making 60 pounds. "Now I'm working out three times a week. I've only gained half of what I did during my first pregnancy," she told People. But for one special day the 32-year-old indulged her cravings, munching on snacks of sliders and pigs in blankets, along with sweet treats like donuts and red velvet cake at the ladies-only event organized by celeb party planner Mindy Weiss. The 48 guests included little sis Ashlee, mom Tina, BFF Cacee Cobb (who's also expecting!), gal pal Jessica Alba — and a surprise visit by fiance Eric Johnson, 33, and 11-month-old daughter Maxwell, who's excited about becoming a big sis. Kim Kardashian showed off her growing baby belly on Wednesday as she headed out for the day in Hollywood. The mama-to-be dressed up her bump in a form-fitting green dress and matching heels. "Good morning! Early start today, have a good one!" she wrote on Twitter earlier in the day, along with an Instagram of herself getting ready in her bathroom. Kardashian, 32, recently shared on her Celebuzz blog what it was like going to this year's MTV Movie Awards with her sister Kylie Jenner. "Rebel Wilson was so funny as the host. I die for her!" Kardashian wrote. "After the show when we got back in the car, our driver had gotten us hot Krispy Kreme donuts. He was so sweet for getting them for us and it was just what we needed because it was freezing inside! Xo." | ‘Breaking Bad’ Is Returning August 11 Posted: 17 Apr 2013 12:15 PM PDT  Breaking Bad will return to AMC on Sunday, August 11, the network announced Wednesday. The network also confirmed it will air a weekly Breaking Bad postshow titled Talking Bad, which will be similar to the one that aired after the last season of The Walking Dead. Eight episodes remain in the show’s fifth season, which will be its last. As for when Netflix will finally upload the first eight episodes of season 5, well, that’s a whole other issue. |

I just don’t have the time or energy for anything else. OK, that’s not true. I do sometimes go see a movie. (The Place Beyond the Pines is pretty good, and you should see it.) But enough about me. | Watch: Macklemore Raps On A Ship, Hangs Out With A Camel Posted: 17 Apr 2013 11:19 AM PDT  From the "Thrift Shop" to a giant ship? Months after the re-release of "Can't Hold Us," Macklemore and Ryan Lewis have unveiled the brand new music video for the fun single. The 7-minute visual finds the duo, along with Ray Dalton, in a variety of epic settings: hanging out on some snowcapped mountains (think Jon Snow in Game of Thrones), riding a dog sled, getting a haircut on a white sandy beach, chilling with a camel and riding a motorcycle with a giant flag. "Can't Hold Us" is the follow up to Macklemore and Ryan Lewis' smash hit "Thrift Shop," off their debut studio album The Heist. The single was originally released in August 2011, but failed to succeed on the charts. The Heist has sold some 500,000 copies in the U.S. since its October 2012 release. | ‘The Voice’ Recap: It’s Time For The Battle Rounds Posted: 17 Apr 2013 11:29 AM PDT  Referred to as "the embodiment of [The Voice]" by Rolling Stone, Katrina Parker was a Semi-Finalist on Team Adam during Season 2 of the hit show. Katrina’s currently recording her debut album and stopping in weekly to discuss her favorite moments from Season 4 with us. The Voice has moved on from the feel good blind auditions to the cut-throat battle rounds. Let's brew a cup of tea, braid each other's hair and talk about some of this week's highlights. It's a Woman's World. When Adam Levine paired Judith Hill against Karina Iglesias, I groaned. This is a battle setup we see often on Team Adam – the pitting of a 4 chair contestant against a 1 chair contestant (Something similar happened to me Season 2, y'all). However, Karina had more tricks up her sleeve than anyone realized. She showed a side to her voice we hadn't seen in her blind audition, and she and Judith both set fire to "It's a Man's World," going toe to toe in the fiercest battle so far. Judith's win and Karina's Steal via Shakira made everyone winners, except Adam who, in his own words, was "the only loser." Pass the Tissues…Again. Karina's Abuelita is back, making everyone cry (and by everyone I mean ME). Most Entertaining Coach. Usher's a little crazy, y'all…but is he crazy crazy or crazy like a fox? Between his "attract me to you" and "fight for the microphone" role plays and epic stare downs during rehearsals, his coaching's proven itself to be in your face, aggressive and unconventional. Will it get results? That has yet to be seen, but it certainly makes for great TV. Favorite Accessories. Cute as a button Michelle Raitzin may have left the show, but her glittery headbands will live on forever in my mind. Headbands – get in my closet ASAP (that's how the secret works, right??). Longest 30 Seconds. A few seconds can feel like an eternity when the losing contestant gives a rambling goodbye speech, hoping for someone (anyone!) to push their button. Even the coaches look uncomfortable, smiling too widely and leaning back in their chairs FAR away from the button. Just Say No to Montages! Despite the internet outcry last season, battle montages are back and as disappointing as ever. I've talked before about how time consuming and emotionally exhausting preparing for the blind auditions can be. Well battles are doubly difficult and involve weeks of preparation for what's essentially an awkward duet. To go through all of that, make it through your battle and not see it air has to be demoralizing (regardless of the outcome). Papa Bears Rock. Blake Shelton may have picked Danielle Bradbury as the winner of her battle with Caroline Glaser, but his grilling of Adam and Usher over who would be the better coach for the budding singer/songwriter was adorable. Moments like this make me love the Steal option. Most Confounding Pairing. I'm not sure what Usher was thinking when he paired Jess Kellner against Taylor Beckham on "You Know I'm No Good." Jess is all alto honey and warmth, while Taylor is all upper range and precise runs. Their tones are lovely separately but wrong together. I understand the need to challenge contestants, but I wish the coaches would remember that these pairings should also be enjoyable listening for the viewers at home. The good news is both Jess AND Taylor stayed thanks to Jess's win and Taylor's sweet Steal via Blake. The bad news is we (and they) will never get those 138 seconds back. Biggest Surprise. Amber Carrington vs. Sasha Allen – This was another 4 chair vs. 1 chair matchup via Adam with wild results. Amber (with only 1 chair turn under her belt) really shined on "Try," giving a stellar performance and winning the battle. Sasha (who turned all the coach's heads last week) sang beautifully but also seemed to struggle. Her vibrato is rich and lovely but can sometimes read as operatic in the context of a pop song. Finding the right commercially viable direction for her voice will be a challenge, but it could produce amazing results. Luckily, Shakira is up for that challenge. Happy endings all around! Tensest Moment. When Jeff Lewis laughed after making a mistake during his pre-battle rehearsal with Josiah Hawley, Usher basically tore him a new one – quietly and with swag. His scolding reached right through the TV screen and grabbed ahold of all of us. I felt ashamed. My dog put himself in a timeout. We'll all try harder, Usher. I swear! Silliest Prop. What's up with the white Kia SUV fake dropping the contestants off for battles? Everytime it showed up onscreen, I couldn't help but giggle imagining them shooting hours and hours of B-roll while contestants hopped in and out again. Swinners Never Lose; Losers Never Swin. While I think Christian Porter might have provided the stronger vocal during "I Won't Back Down" (nailing that high note he struggled with in rehearsals), Blake was unable to resist the allure of The Swon Brothers. I get it. They're naturally entertaining both on and offstage, and their battle with Christian felt less like a battle and more like a bro-tastic jam between buddies. This marks the first time a duo's made it past the battle rounds and the first time anyone's used the phrase "nobody crapped the bed" on this show (thanks for that, Blake). | President Obama Says He Has Better Things To Do Than Plan Beyonce And Jay-Z’s Vacation Posted: 17 Apr 2013 10:02 AM PDT  Unless your name is Michelle Obama or, depending on the day, Joe Biden, you probably shouldn’t assume that you’re close personal friends with the President. Beyonce and Jay-Z had to learn that the hard way on Wednesday when Barack Obama finally commented on their now-controversial trip to Cuba. He told TODAY‘s Savannah Guthrie: “I wasn’t familiar that they were taking the trip. My understanding is I think they went through a group that organizes these educational trips down to Cuba. You know, this is not something the White House was involved with.” And then he closed with: “We’ve got better things to do.” In other words: Nice try, kids. Obama got dragged into this mess after Jay-Z released a song called “Open Letter,” in which he basically implied the President gave them the OK to visit Cuba. White House Press Secretary Jay Carney later commented on the issue with a similar “Yeah, no” reaction. |

Wouldn’t you know that Baroness Thatcher and Fergie were tight? “I was fortunate enough to get to know her from the time that she attended my wedding in 1986, and, subsequently, I shared numerous cups of tea with her, and loved to listen to her wisdom,” Fergie told the Telegraph last week, adding that Thatcher was a “steadfast” friend to her. Prince Andrew‘s ex-wife managed to divert attention away from the somberness of the occasion just by being herself. This picture pretty much sums it up. |

Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, his leading lady both on and off screen, were spotted getting flirty and cute on Tuesday while hard at work on The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in New York City’s Union Square. Stone, 24, bundled up in a pale pink coat and lavender scarf while her 29-year-old beau kept it casual in a black coat, jeans and backpack.
The sequel, out May 2, 2014, is director Marc Webb's follow-up to 2012's The Amazing Spider-Man. Earlier this week, fans got a first look at Jamie Foxx in full costume as Electro, the villain who can control electricity. Shailene Woodley, Paul Giamatti, B.J. Novak and Felicity Jones will also star in the sequel, along with the return of Sally Field as Peter Parker's aunt May. | Photo: Margaret Thatcher Laid To Rest In London Posted: 17 Apr 2013 08:49 AM PDT  Here is an incredible aerial shot from the funeral for Margaret Thatcher, held Wednesday inside London’s St. Paul’s Cathedral. Over 2,000 people attended today’s service, including the Queen of England, Elizabeth II. Thousands more gathered outside to catch a glimpse of Thatcher’s coffin as it made its way inside. The former Prime Minister of Britain, who was nicknamed “The Iron Lady” for her staunch Conservative politics, died last week after suffering a stroke. Her reign divided a nation, and continued to spark debate in the days after her death. (Four-thousand police officers were hired to oversee today’s events, according to multiple reports.) | Cool Your Jets, This ‘Friends’ Reunion Everyone Is Talking About Isn’t Happening Posted: 17 Apr 2013 09:18 AM PDT  Hey! How is your Wednesday going? Well I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that Friends reunion you’re all flipping out about is a complete myth. The rumor began after Star Media wrote, “NBC network reportedly confirmed they will launch a new season of Friends on 2014, it was supposed to be about their story in acomeback reunion! [all sic]” What even is Star Media? What does that sentence even mean? Star Media goes on to say, “It's still unknown if the original actors will accept NBC's deal, but the dream of ‘Friends’ reunion is closer than ever!” Haha, nope. It’s not surprising the Internet took this lone report and ran with it. Fans have dreamed of a Friends reunion practically from the moment the last episode aired in 2004. And, hey, 10 years sounds like a good time for a reunion, right? But there is no way that NBC would green-light an entire new season of one of its most beloved shows without the original actors. That would be a bigger flop for the network than Animal Practice, and at a time when the Peacock Network could really use a hit. This doesn’t necessarily mean there won’t ever be a reunion, but I wouldn’t hold your breath for that, either. Last year, Jennifer Aniston told MTV, “No, there will be none. I don’t think so. Wouldn’t that be weird? I would be like, ‘Oh, God, why did they do that?’” Other cast-members have voiced their distaste for the idea of a reunion as well. Matt LeBlanc told Entertainment Weekly, “I don't want to see old Joey” and David Schwimmer has said “I don’t think I would [play Ross again].” |

The 32-year-old face of Fashion Star looked comfortably slimming in an all-black gown, and appeared to be all-smiles as she made her way to the ceremony. Simpson has become increasingly vocal about her second pregnancy, which she confirmed last December, just seven months after giving birth to daughter Maxwell Drew. She told PEOPLE Wednesday: “I'm so excited to have a son. He got all these cute vintage cars and I got a lot of little leather jackets I can't wait to try out!” Well, that’s certainly a nice change of pace from the time she said that wieners made her nauseous. | Ozzy Osbourne: The Road Back To Recovery Posted: 16 Apr 2013 05:24 PM PDT There’s still hope that Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne can save their 31-year marriage – but only if he seeks immediate professional help. Relationship expert Dr Carole Lieberman M.D. believes that the rocker has done the right thing by going public about his relapse but contends that he needs more proper assistance now. Ozzy confessed on his Facebook page that he had been drinking for the past year and a half following reports that the couple are now living apart.
“They can absolutely stay together but he needs to get some professional help like in-patient treatment,” Dr Lieberman told Celebuzz. “It’s worrying that Ozzy admitted to have been drinking and taking drugs for so long and Sharon has obviously tried to shock him by moving out if the reports are true that they are living separately now. “The danger is that he is alone and is worried about losing his wife while trying to beat his addictions. Ozzy needs more than just going to Alcoholics Anonymous meetings he needs support and professional treatment.” Over the weekend, photos of moving vans in front of their home combined with sightings of Sharon at the Beverly Hills Hotel sans her wedding ring stoked the rumors of the split. The famous pair have endured a rollercoaster relationship over the years, with Sharon being credited as being the person who finally got Ozzy to kick the booze and drugs after decades of addiction. The couple met when she was just 18-years-old and became his manager soon after, They married in Hawaii in 1982. Sharon was the brains behind their long-running MTV reality hit The Osbournes from 2002 to 2005 which introduced the family to a larger audience in America Best selling author Dr Lieberman believes that the famous couple – who have three children Kelly Osbourne, 28, Jack Osbourne, 27, and Aimee Osbourne, 28, – face some tough times in the coming months but can still make it through. “They have been through a lot over the years but they can absolutely can save their marriage. Cupping is an ancient Asian procedure in which cups are placed onto the skin using heat or suction, all to stimulate circulation. It’s popular among stars like Gwyneth Paltrow and Victoria Beckham. Well, apparently the procedure leaves marks on the back, and apparently Aniston tried to cover them up with concealer and not an outfit that had, you know, a backing. (She wore a sleeveless double-breasted blazer and short-shorts, instead.) An unfortunate fashion faux-pas, sure. But at 38-years-old he's still very much single and now he’s confessed to Esquire magazine that work might just be the reason. "Six months of being on location or being off in Morocco or some place like that is not the best thing for a relationship," he told the May issue.
DiCaprio, who has been nominated for an Oscar three times without ever striking gold, is about to hit the road again to promote Baz Luhrmann’s adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic novel The Great Gatsby. Despite being at the top of the Hollywood food chain for more than 16 years, the L.A.-born actor still takes nothing for granted. And that's always been what has propelled me.’ The star announced recently that he was going to take a break from movies after working on Django Unchained, the The Great Gatsby and Martin Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street back-to-back-to-back. The actor became a heartthrob at age 22 when he starred in Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo + Juliet and Titanic, but admits he struggled to cope with his newfound fame and success. “I really didn't understand what fame was and I didn't understand what being in a giant hit was and I didn't understand what a giant hit Titanic was compared to other giant hits,” he told the magazine. “Most recently, in the last few years, I feel way more comfortable than I’ve ever felt.” The Great Gatsby, which also stars Carey Mulligan and Tobey Maguire, opens across America on May 10. | The New ‘Man Of Steel’ Trailer Is Kind Of Awesome Posted: 17 Apr 2013 01:15 PM PDT  New today is the trailer for Man of Steel, Hollywood’s latest attempt to strike gold again with the Superman franchise. Released late Tuesday, the three-minute clip is every bit as dark as the previous teaser, and spends a good chunk of time focusing on the origins of the title character. We also get some good insight into Lois Lane, played by a calm and comfortable-looking Amy Adams, and the film’s big villain, General Zod, played by Oscar nominee Michael Shannon. Oh, and yes: star Henry Cavill takes his shirt off a couple times. The film, which flies into theaters June 14, co-stars Kevin Costner, Diane Lane and a Russell Crowe who hopefully doesn’t sing this time. |
