Instead of the usual pomp and circumstance that comes with an Academy Award, Anne Hathaway has faced a backlash since snagging Best Supporting Actress for her role in Les Miserables. Hathaway’s cult of critics — so-called Hathahaters — have been bashing the actress, taking aim at everything from her decision to ditch Valentino for Prada on the Oscars red carpet to her overly-rehearsed acceptance speeches throughout awards season. But not everyone is hopping on the anti-Hathaway bandwagon. Just days after Girls creator Lena Dunham jumped to the Oscar-winner's defense, newsman Anderson Cooper is showing his support for the under-fire star. “The level of hatred people have toward Anne Hathaway — I had no idea,” he said Thursday on his CBS daytime talk show, Anderson Live. “She seems like a perfectly lovely person. I don't understand. I think she's incredibly talented [and] she seems like a lovely person.” “I have no dog in this hunt. I don't know Anne Hathaway,” he added. “It just seems so unfair to me.” Not only did Cooper stick up for Hathaway, but he also spoke out against her haters. “People have all these judgements about her, but they don't know what she's really like,” he said in defense of the 30-year-old star. “No one knows what anyone of these people are like in real life…. People form all these opinions of people based on nothing. You have no actual evidence.” Cooper, who wasn’t even aware of the widespread Hathaway hate until he heard his Anderson Live team talking about it, even adamantly defended the actress’ Oscar acceptance speech on his show. “I feel like I just woke up and everyone is hating her. It upset me because so many people on my staff were like, ‘Ugh, that speech she made at the Oscars,’” he said. “You know what a bad speech is? Everybody else’s speech…. She got up there, she made eye contact, she remembered all the people's names without reading it.” “That’s because it was rehearsed,” argued his episode co-host, CNN journalist Isha Sesay, who mocked Hathaway’s seemingly feigned shock in snagging Oscar gold. “You don't think [Jennifer Lawrence's] fall was rehearsed?” Cooper retorted. “Please. If [Hathaway] hadn't seem surprised, you all would all be like, 'Oh, she wasn't even surprised.’ I feel bad for her. There's no winning for her. Give her a break.” Though it doesn’t appear that the Hathahaters will be giving the actress a break anytime soon, Cooper made sure the star knows he’s on her side. “Anne Hathaway, if you're out there,” he added, “I'm sorry all these people are jerks. | Jennifer Lawrence’s Ex Is ‘Thrilled’ About Her Oscar Win Posted: 28 Feb 2013 11:42 AM PST  They may have parted ways before awards season began, but Nicholas Hoult is still happy for ex-girlfriend Jennifer Lawrence, who nabbed the Oscar for Best Actress Sunday night. “I’m very, very happy for her,” the Warm Bodies actor told E! News. ”I’m thrilled!” The 23-year-old added that he thought Lawrence’s flick, Silver Linings Playbook, was “was great!”
Lawrence, 22, and Hoult first met on the set of X-Men: First Class in 2010 and have been open about their relationship. "[My boyfriend] is honestly my best friend, and hopefully I'm his best friend too," the actress told Elle last December. "He's my favorite person to be around and he makes me laugh harder than anybody." The couple called it quits in January right after Lawrence swept 2013′s People’s Choice Awards. Though they’re not longer romantically linked, Lawrence and Hoult will reunite on the set of X-Men: Days of Future Past, the next installment in the comic book saga. “We’ll wait and see how that relationship develops,” Hoult said of their onscreen romance. “They’re going to split between different times a little bit, with the older cast coming back, so we’ll have to wait and see.” The actor also appears in the March issue of GQ — seen in the gallery above. |

| ‘Jack The Giant Slayer’: What Do Critics Think Of Ewan McGregor’s Fairy-Tale Adventure? Posted: 28 Feb 2013 11:23 AM PST  Although no one at Celebuzz has yet seen Jack the Giant Slayer, we have to admit that we're not altogether excited for it: despite the appealing presence of director Bryan Singer, not to mention its two handsome leads Nicholas Hoult and Ewan McGregor, this update of the popular fairy tale seems too heavy on computer-generated trickery to captivate more than technophiles or, we suppose, folks with a fetish for really, tall, weird-looking people who live atop beanstalks. Meanwhile, the critical community thus far seems fairy divided about the film, some lauding its inventive visuals while others condemn its tonal inconsistencies. Celebuzz has assembled a cross section of reviews from the critical community's best and brightest, whose pluses and minuses thus far have added up to a 64 percent fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes. After a hard day’s work of filming Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kim Kardashian spent some quality time with sisters Khloe and Kourtney and brother Rob during a fun-filled dinner on Wednesday night. The mom-to-be brightened things up in a yellow and grey color-blocked dress, while Khloe kept things simple in black and white. Meanwhile, Kourtney happily toted her adorable accessory: daughter Penelope Disick, who donned a chic plaid Burberry skirt. As for their little brother, Rob opted for a more casual attire, sporting a T-shirt, loose-fitting pants and red and black Nikes. And with Kim’s bundle of joy on the way, there was plenty of news to share at the dinner table.
The youngest Kardashian, 25, has been busy, staying committed to a newfound exercise regimen after recently gaining 50 pounds. “Another fat boy breakfast. Let’s go! 5 mile run next. 50 pounds gots to go!” Rob tweeted. Meanwhile, at five months, Kim hasn’t let the pregnancy pounds affect her. From workouts to fashionable maternity ensembles, she’s happily embraced all the aspects of her new future as a mother. Gracing the cover of the latest issue of Cosmopolitan, the 32-year-old opened up about her dreams of always wanting to have a baby. “I've always said that I wanted kids, but I don't think I ever would have been ready until now,” she said.
As for tying the knot with beau Kanye West, the reality star is taking her time, making sure they’re both fully invested in their tight-knit relationship. "Sometimes you're just not ready. A person could have it all, and you're not ready for it all. But this is where I probably always should have been…[marriage] is something I know that we both want in our future, but I don't have this sense of urgency about it. I have this best friend who understands me and helps me through all my tough experiences, and vice versa, you know? It just feels like this is it for me,” she revealed. Despite her surprising reaction, the “Duchess” singer couldn’t be more happy for her soon-to-be bundle of joy. “Josh & Me & BABY makes three!!! As for the Safe Haven actor, he’s already looking forward to his new role as proud papa. "I'm not 24, I've got some life experience that I think I can impart. My mother was the disciplinarian and my father was more of a free spirit. Hopefully I'm somewhere in between,” he said. All of which reminded us: there have been a lot of heroic knights who made their armor shine particularly bright. Before grabbing a bite to eat with her siblings, the reality star and Bruce Jenner got a case of puppy love as they stopped by a pet store on Wednesday. The 28-year-old couldn’t help but fawn over the adorable dogs, giving her undivided attention to one fluffy black pup in particular.
Is Kardashian Odom bringing a new addition to her humble abode with hubby Lamar Odom? Possibly. The E! starlet and Jenner’s dog day afternoon was filmed for an upcoming episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. When she’s not puckering up to puppies, Kardashian Odom has been spotted cheering courtside for her husband at the Los Angeles Clippers home games and spending quality time with her mom Kris Jenner. No matter how hectic their schedules get, not a day goes by when Kardashian Odom doesn’t take time to bond with the most important people in her life — especially as they await the arrival of Kim’s bundle of joy. “Just a few videos from a fun family dinner out! | Revealed: The Girl Who Brought Harry Styles To His Knees (EXCLUSIVE) Posted: 28 Feb 2013 12:18 PM PST  Harry Styles got more than he bargained for during when a fan chucked her shoe onstage and it hit him, well, down there. But the female admirer wants to offer the One Direction star an apology, she tells Celebuzz exclusively. "I threw my shoe and I aimed for the stage, but I accidentally hit Harry! I really want to apologize to him and meet him,” said Jade Anderson, who felt so bad, she shed a few tears after getting back her now-infamous blue Van. The 14-year-old even tells us she wishes she’d thrown something else at Styles. Said Anderson: "I was going to throw a piece of underwear, but my friends said no!"
The shoe-stopping moment occurred at a concert in Scotland on Feb. 26. After Anderson’s missive struck 19-year-old Styles in the groin, the pop star fell to the floor.
"I threw it because I wanted them to touch something belonging to me,” Anderson explained. “I didn’t mean to hurt him.” She later took to Twitter and came clean about the incident, tweeting: @harry_styles im the one that threw my shoe at you, i never meant to hurt you :-( — Jade (@jadeAanderson) February 27, 2013 But security teams at the concert hadn’t been so sure, quickly ejecting Anderson from the venue. "After I had done it, the security caught me and took me out, then gave me trouble," she said. "Security just told me that I could have really hurt him and never do it again." Luckily for her, Styles took the incident in stride, even doing some stretches with a smile. And Anderson soon regained entry into the concert — thanks to a pair of very special guys. "Harry and Niall [Horan] asked for me to come back in," she said. "They told the whole audience! I got back in, and Niall then gave me both of my shoes back.”

Just last week, Diane Lane and Josh Brolin made their split official by filing for divorce after nearly a decade together. "He's great . . . you know, everything is mutual. | Maroney: Obama Asked For The ‘Not Impressed Face’ Posted: 28 Feb 2013 11:55 AM PST  Olympic gymnastic McKayla Maroney became an Internet sensation last summer when her “not impressed” face was turned into an uber-popular meme. In fact, the face — which was captured after Maroney finished second in the Individual Vault finals — was such a hit, even President Barack Obama got her to do it with her when the Gold medal-winning team visited the White House in November. So how did it all happen? According to Maroney, it was all the President’s idea. “He [asked me], ‘Can I do the ‘not impressed’ face with you? I do it at least once a day, so I would love to do it,’” she told Celebuzz on Wednesday in an exclusive interview. “I was like, ‘Of course! Let’s do it. I’m up for that! [Laughs]”
As for what else was said between them, Maroney says it was all a blur. “Each of the girls had a one-on-one conversation with him, but to completely honest with you, I can’t remember any of it. I was just like, ‘I’m talking to the President!’” Still, she looks on the whole meet-and-green fondly. “He was one of the most amazing people I’ve ever met,” she said of Obama. Meanwhile, Maroney — who turned 17 in December — has also turned her “not impressed” face into an endorsement deal with Dr Pepper Snapple Group, in which she is helping to promote the company’s new line of 10-calorie sodas. “I’ve been contacted by a lot of different people and this is the first product that I’ve actually been impressed with. It’s 10 calories, which is great with me being an athlete.” “I love it,” she said of the line, which includes 7UP TEN, A&W TEN, Sunkist TENTM soda, Canada Dry TEN and RC TEN. “It has the [same] amount of flavor as a regular soda. It’s very cool.” |
| Lindsay Lohan Rejects Plea Deal In Car-Crash Case Posted: 28 Feb 2013 10:23 AM PST No deal! Sources for TMZ say that Lindsay Lohan did not cut a plea deal with Santa Monica and LA City lawyers on Wednesday in her ongoing car-crash case, and will likely head to trial on March 18, instead. According to the report, prosecutors wanted Lohan — who is accused of lying to police after her black Porsche slammed into a garbage truck on the PCH last June — to complete about 30 days in a rehab facility, which Lohan’s lawyer, Mark Heller, rejected. Negotiations are said to be still ongoing, and Heller is reportedly willing to accept a deal in which Lohan is required to attend counseling and rehab.
Lohan, meanwhile, is said to be poo-pooing the entire thing, as she does not want “punishment for something I didn’t do,” according to TMZ. Lohan, 26, was officially charged with giving false information to a police officer, obstructing or resisting a police officer in the performance of his duty and reckless driving in November. In December, Lohan's probation — which she was put on after she was accused of stealing a necklace from a Los Angeles-area jeweler — was revoked by Commissioner Jane Godfrey. |

Ex-The O.C. actress Mischa Barton has put her multi-million dollar home up for rent for the whopping amount of $35,000-a-month. In 2010, the 27-year-old had listed the estate — located in the gated neighborhood Bowmont Estates in Beverly Glen, Calif. — for $8.695 million, but she received no offers. According to the listing, the 7,607 square foot home has eight bedrooms, with four of which are attached to en suite bathrooms. What else does Barton’s abode boast?
