After a surprise pregnancy, the reality star changed her world for her son Lorenzo, her first child with fiancĂ© Jionni LaValle. And now Polizzi is sharing her journey from party girl to proud mama in her upcoming book, Baby Bumps. “When I was pregnant, I feel like there were no really good baby books out there to help me out. So I used a lot of apps. I read stories with other moms on mom blogs,” the Snooki & JWoww star, 25, told Celebuzz at the BookExpo America. “But I felt like I needed something that was very relatable and I felt like there was nothing out there like that.” That’s why Polizzi decided to pick up the pen once more — with three books already under her belt — to give other moms-to-be her distinct take on having a bun in the oven. “We’re talking about peeing yourself, shitting yourself, the pain you go through but still looking fabulous,” she explains of the book’s brutal honesty. “I love Jenny McCarthy‘s book, so I kind of got inspired by that…. So hopefully it will be relatable for other pregnant ladies.” Baby Bumps even gives a man’s perspective on pregnancy, through the eyes of LaValle. “We’re actually working on that right now. It’s like the last thing to the book,” Polizzi said of her fiancĂ©’s chapter. “Basically, he’s just saying, ‘Tell your wife she’s always correct. If she cries, tell her she looks great. | Nicki Minaj Is Officially Leaving ‘American Idol,’ Too Posted: 31 May 2013 10:51 AM PDT  Not to be upstaged by rival Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj confirmed on Thursday that she, too, is leaving American Idol after a season filled with low ratings and big feuds. “Thank you American Idol for a life changing experience! Wouldn’t trade it for the world! Time to focus on the Music!!! Mmmuuuaahhh!!!” Minaj, 30, wrote on Twitter. The confirmation came about an hour or so after Carey confirmed her own exit on the popular social media website. With Carey and Minaj off the panel, that leaves only Keith Urban, who, for reasons that still cannot be processed, has expressed interest in staying on with the dying reality-competition series. (Randy Jackson confirmed his exit last month.) However, there are rumors circulating that Idol will bring back former contestants to judge the show when it returns for its 13th season in January. Jennifer Hudson is said to be on the list for consideration. Minaj’s one-season stint on Idol got off to a rough start during the audition rounds when she and Carey exchanged harsh words and, in Minaj’s case, thinly veiled death threats. The Oscar-winning actor, who had been clean for 23 years after previous struggles, checked himself into an undisclosed facility on the East Coast, where he stayed through Friday, May 24. Hoffman credits “a great group of friends and family” for helping him through this latest struggle. He’s now back in Europe filming a movie, according to the report. Hoffman, who won an Oscar in 2006 for Capote and was nominated again this year for The Master, will return to the big screen later this year in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. He has three children — Cooper, 10; Tallulah 6, and Willa, 4 — with costume designer Mimi O’Donnell. |
