He’s that charming, yet not relatable to anyone on the planet. It’s scary. Mr. Medusa, as I’ll be calling him from now on, sat down with a writer for Elle Magazine and dove deep into his Hollywood origin story. While talking about his early years as an actor, he said, "One chick tried to stab me when we were having sex. She was like, 'True love leaves scars. You don't have any.' And then she tried to stab me with a butcher knife. Of course I promptly broke up with her," he says. "Seven months later." Excuse me? She tried to stab you and you stayed for seven months? Was that to make up for the fact that you called her a word normally reserved for baby chickens? The rest of the piece reads along the same lines, as Armie attempts to seem human while also promoting The Lone Ranger. It’s just weird that he thinks telling this story will help him connect with anyone other than a few frat members at various colleges across the country. Thankfully you’re already married Armie, or else I’d warn you to hide the rest of your cutlery for a while. |

| Johnny Depp Is ‘Basically Blind’ In His Left Eye Posted: 20 Jun 2013 09:33 AM PDT  Prepare to be impressed by Johnny Depp‘s acting skills even more. Though he possess a plethora of characters in his repertoire, the Oscar-nominated actor can barely see what he’s doing most of the time. In his latest interview with Rolling Stone, Depp revealed that he’s always suffered bad vision — to a point where he’s “basically blind as a bat” in his left eye. His trademark tinted glasses are what helps him see. Well, kind of. “Everything is just very, very blurry,” he said. “I’ve never had proper vision.” The publication added that the Lone Ranger actor’s right eye is nearsighted (and lately, far-sighted) and has difficulty seeing past a few inches from his face without his glasses. In the same article, the 50-year-old opened up about his breakup with longtime girlfriend and mother of his two children, Vanessa Paradis. “The last couple years have been a bit bumpy. At times, certainly unpleasant, but that’s the nature of breakups, I guess, especially when there are kiddies involved,” he told the music mag. “Relationships are very difficult. Especially in the racket that I’m in because you’re constantly away or they’re away and so it’s hard. It wasn’t easy on her. It wasn’t easy on me. It wasn’t easy on the kids. So, yeah. The trajectory of that relationship – you play it out until it goes, one thing leads to another” He continued, “So for whatever reason that ceases, it doesn’t stop the fact that you care for that person, and they’re the mother of your kids, and you’ll always know each other, and you’re always gonna be in each other’s lives because of those kids. | ‘Empire State’ Trailer: Liam Hemsworth Is Hot And Criminal Posted: 20 Jun 2013 09:47 AM PDT  Liam Hemsworth makes one sexy ’80s security guard in the trailer for his upcoming heist film, Empire State. The 23-year-old actor portrays a wannabe-cop-gone-bad in the film, alongside Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Emma Roberts. Based on real events, the movie follows Chris Potamitis (Hemsworth), a kid from Queens who takes a security job position at EMPIRE STATE Armored Truck Company after failing to get into the police academy. Chris is dragged into a scheme to rob his own company — a job that ends up being the U.S’s biggest heist ever. Johnson plays the NYPD Detective on Liam’s case. Roberts is his waitress ladyfriend (complete with ’80s diner uniform/extreme New Yaaawker accent.) But don’t expect Empire State to play on a big screen near you, though. The movie will be released directy to DVD and Blu-Ray on September 3rd. Hemsworth has been enjoying a lot of success in his film career lately, and it looks like his love life is following suit. Yes, all is right in the land of Miley Cyrus and her hunky beau. The engaged pair was spotted on a movie date at the Arclight just this week. Though we don't know the exact date or title of this release, we know it's a highly anticipated album because, well, it's Eminem. And just to prove how big he is, we thought we'd share a little tidbit of information: He's the second most followed celebrity on Facebook, beating out Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga and even Justin Bieber. (He’s barely trailing Rihanna, who surpassed him only a few months ago.)
Without further delay… Our Top Five Reasons to Be Excited for Eminem's 2013 Album 1) He currently holds the title as the King of Hip Hop. According to Rolling Stone, Eminem ranks 82nd on its list of “The 100 Greatest Artists of All Time” (key words: of all time). He's achieved ten No.1 albums on the Billboard 200 and sold more than 100 million records worldwide. Eminem ranks among top rap artists including: Jay-Z, Biggie, Tupac and Nas. Sure, he had an album flop (as every artist does) with Relapse, but his comeback with Recovery proved he's not finished in the game yet. Needless to say, we can anticipate this album ranking with some of his best.
2) He's the best rapper alive. Now, he may not be a college grad, but Slim Shady is a lyrical genius, creating rhymes with more metaphors, similes, underlying themes and messages than any paper you've ever written in your entire life. The guy raps with a vigor no one has ever seen before and spins lyrics together that are unheard of and untouched by any other rapper. He practically spits venom from his mouth as he unleashes a range of emotions in each of his stories that we call raps. You simply can't compare any other artist or their work to him and his unique style of writing.
3) He always collaborates with the best. Remember Love the Way You Lie featuring Rihanna? Probably, since it remained a No.1 hit on the Billboard 200 for SEVEN WEEKS. Not to mention, he's also worked with other top artists including: Dr. Dre, Jay-Z, Biggie, Lil Wayne, T.I., Drake, Akon and more. You can guarantee this album will feature more names to add to that already-impressive list.
4) There will undoubtedly be confrontation. As always with Slim Shady, he raps about the truth and never holds back. A lot of people hate him for this, but that's why we love him. He's real (hence… the real Slim Shady). Whether it's about Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, American politics, presidents, the FCC or whoever and whatever he lays his rap on, Eminem will have something to say to someone, and we look forward to hearing it.

| At Long Last, Martin Lawrence and Kelsey Grammer Will Co-Star in a TV Show Together Posted: 20 Jun 2013 08:22 AM PDT  FX — Fox’s edgy channel that’s too edgy for vowels — is really pushing the boundaries with its newest show: a Martin Lawrence-Kelsey Grammer odd couple sitcom. We have 90′s nostalgists to blame for this one. This must-see TV show will feature Lawrence and Grammer as two men who meet on the worst day of both their lives. They have nothing in common, except that they’re both lawyers, and decide to work together. Hijinks and hilarity, we’re lead to believe, ensue. The show will air for 10 episodes and if it hits a predetermined ratings benchmark, FX will order another 90 episodes, just like it did with America’s other sweetheart’s show, Charlie Sheen‘s Anger Management. FX has not announced the series’ name or when it will start airing just yet. Now that Martin and Frasier Crane are finally starring in a show together, you can get back to praying for that 3rd Rock from the Sun-Family Matters crossover series you’ve been dreaming about.

The happy-go-lucky pair, who married in 2011 when Stodden was just 16 years old, went to the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood. Naturally, Stodden, now 18, smiled for the cameras on her way out as she made a suggestive pose or two. Naturally. Posted: 20 Jun 2013 10:41 AM PDT  Former Real Housewife of New York Kelly Bensimon schlepped her boney ass (as Jill Zarin would say) to Brooklyn Wednesday night to attend two events — one for the opening night of BAMcinemaFest and the other to celebrate Target’s collaboration with Lauren Bush Lauren‘s company, FEED USA. Bensimon wore the same outfit to both events, though technically it was the same thing she wears everywhere: arms covered, legs out. Bensimon was, at one point, a model. Which means you wouldn’t think it would be hard for her to get in a quick change in the back of the cab from Fort Greene to Dumbo. Then again, after all the grief Alex McCord got on the show for living in Brooklyn and that FEED dress, you wouldn’t this would be Bensimon’s idea of a fun Wednesday night. Mansion Posted: 20 Jun 2013 12:18 AM PDT  It's always good to be Gerard Butler when you've got the handsome, bad boy, action star thing going (oh, and the Scottish accent is a bonus). But when you have digs like this, it's really good. The ruggedly handsome actor bought this stunning Spanish-style villa in the celeb-rich enclave of Los Feliz, Calif. in 2008 for hefty $3.25 million (just slightly below the asking price of $3.395M.) And who knew the Olympus Has Fallen star was such a romantic. The circa 1930 6,250 square foot estate was completely redone and spared no expense when it came to the delicate details. From the walnut floors, living room with fireplace, large formal dining room, Butler’s grand oasis has a rustic, private ambience tucked away on the hillside and surrounded by lush greenery (just look in envy at that enchanting courtyard.) Fitting for his international sex symbol status, there's not one, but a two-room master suite, not to mention three more bedrooms, 4.5 baths, study, media room, pool and spa all adorned with original tile and stained glass. The moving tribute was captured by @JKlekamp, who uploaded a photo to his account late last night. Gandolfini died on Wednesday of a reported heart attack while in Italy. He was 51. |
| Rihanna’s Neighbors Not Feeling The Love Posted: 20 Jun 2013 12:09 AM PDT  It looks like Rihanna is taking a cue from The Biebs and in the doghouse with her neighbors. Since a rooftop stranger was nabbed creeping around her Pacific Palisades home on Monday, according to TMZ, the songstress’ neighbors in the swanky enclave of Los Angeles have grown increasingly agitated since their once-private street has become a prime locale for trespassers and paparazzi. “We’ve had it,” resident Marian Mandel told Celebuzz. “We’re quite upset about the publicity. It was a private street and we want to keep it that way. Everyone is taking care of each house and we are protecting our rights up here.” And this isn’t the first time the pop star, who’s currently on her Diamonds tour in the U.K., has been paid a visit by a lurking lookie loo on the $12 million property she reportedly bought in Dec. 2012. In February an obsessed fan was also put behind bars after trying to break into her digs. Another resident, who asked to remain anonymous, points the finger right at RiRi. “The neighbors closest to Rihanna are really offended by this,” added the neighbor. “It affects our entire street and it’s no longer private because of her. Trespassers come here just to look for her.” In time, Mandel believes the “Run This Town” singer will eventually find another place to call home. “She’ll probably move out,” she said. “She’ll get tired of this.” RiRi’s next door neighbor Mark Green said fellow residents are staying proactive about what to do next, even if it means beefing up security. “We’ve been getting emails and alerts about what happened,” added Green. “The neighbors are pretty much as upset about this as about the paparazzi who are here all the time. It’s a private road and we moved here because we like the privacy. “Each has spoken to different security companies and we’re formulating if we go in as a group or contract separately.” Despite the hard feelings, he’s a bit more sympathetic to the 25-year-old superstar’s circumstance. “It’s such a quiet street and we hardly ever see her [Rihanna],” he said. “As long as people at least keep getting arrested, it’s all good. “It’s a private road and the people who are caught here are felons. “Other neighbors are pretty upset, but I’m okay. It’s a process. I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve had to warn people away. She has no control over what crazy people do.” |
| Polo Fangirl Politely Asked William And Harry If She Could Take Their Photo Posted: 20 Jun 2013 10:49 AM PDT  The young lady who made headlines for her facial expressions at Sunday’s charity polo match is a bit of a pop culture sensation right now. 14-year-old student Andrea Rubio took a photo of Prince William and Prince Harry at Beaufort Polo Club, but the most amusing part of this story was her reaction to seeing the royals. Rubio, originally from Mexico, attends Westonbirt School in Gloucestershire and spoke to the local paper (via People) about her encounter. “I knew Princes Harry and William were going to be there but I never thought I would get near them, let alone speak to them,” Rubio told the paper. “I asked them ‘Please may I take your picture’ and they both laughed and said yes. I couldn’t believe it,” she said. ”I think I may have shouted after because I was so happy.” Rubio phoned her mother, who was quite pleased that her daughter went about asking for photos in a civilized manner. “When my mum found out what had happened she said she was glad that I had been polite and asked the princes if I could take a photo,” Rubio said. “I never imagined all this would happen just because I took a photo,” Rubio said of her instafame. ”Prince Harry is my favourite – I think he is really hot.” Totes. |
| A Tribute to the Late James Gandolfini Posted: 19 Jun 2013 06:02 PM PDT  If you were to ask any diehard fan of television what the greatest show of all time was, odds are they’d probably say The Sopranos; the WGA, for example, did so earlier this month. One of the reasons the show wound up being so successful — beyond the writing, the direction and its controversial ending — was the central performance by James Gandolfini, who died Wednesday of a reported heart attack at the age of 51. The gruff, heavy-breathing actor had the almost insurmountable task of taking a menacing, scary, murderous character like mob boss Tony Soprano and making him seem as normal and sympathetic as your very own father; an Archie Bunker of sorts for the HBO generation. Not only did he succeed, Gandolfini over six seasons crafted a complex, intricate performance that carried the weight and brevity of an Oscar-winning turn from, say, Al Pacino or Marlon Brando. (For the record, Gandolfini won the TV equivalent of the Oscar, the Emmy, three times over the course of eight years.) Indeed, few small-screen performances have come close to building as many emotional layers as Gandolfini did on The Sopranos — and if they did, they were probably acting in a scene alongside him. One need look no further than the awkward car ride between Tony and his daughter, Meadow, in “College,” in which Meadow point-blank asks Tony if he’s in the Mafia; or the explosive season 4 finale, “Whitecaps,” in which Tony and his wife Carmela’s marital woes come to a head in an epic, violent fight. Here was a guy who could kill another in one scene and eat ice cream in the next, and you’d love him just the same. Even beyond The Sopranos, Gandolfini remained a familiar, often relatable presence. Like many of the great character actors who came before him, Gandolfini allowed you to see yourself and everyone you knew in his performances, from the tough-as-nails father in Not Fade Away to the kooky lieutenant in In the Loop. He may not have had the movie-star looks of, say, Brad Pitt, but Gandolfini didn’t need the glitz and glamor and special lighting of Hollywood to hit a home run. Which is why it is especially hard to see him go. Writing this now, I feel that same blow to the gut I felt when I first found out that Michael Jackson died back in 2009. The world has once again taken away a man who had accomplished so much, but likely had so much more left in him to give. In a way, it’s almost like watching that final episode of The Sopranos again — another harsh cut-to-black that leaves us confused, bewildered and a little pissed off. In this case, though, there is no room for debate: Gandolfini was an incredible actor, and he will be greatly missed. RIP.
